- Gutting 6th Gen Exhaust - The Easy Way. Sorry this may be a dumb question... So I cut the end caps off and I grabbed the exposed pipes and pulled the ENTIRE assembly out. Including the fiberglass wrap. Can I just weld the end caps back on?
