Adapter To Fit 929 Shock To 5th Gen Vfr 19 Aug 2007 06:30 you don't have to grind off the bolt to get the bracket loose; just use a hammer. I put the bracket on my anvil and gave the bolt a couple healthy swats with a large ball-pein hammer. Broke the spot welds easily.
