I've done the search and it turned up zero. I understand that SIDI is supposed to represent to best boots on the market, I'm just wondering if these particular boots are a decent product. They are kinda pricy at $250 & I can't find them at any dealer. Every dealer says they can order them but I want to try them on before I spend the money.
This is the boot I'm comparing them to, ICON Field Armor, much cheaper @ $130:
What I'm looking for is a all around riding boot that I can walk around in after I get off the bike. I currently use my 8 year old USAF steel toes. They have definitely seen better days and the sole is just about to fall off.
Icon Field Armor boots are design for stunters and street riders. I have worn them and they seriously take out any feel for the shifter you have. They seem like good protection but at a cost in tactile interaction with your bike.
I don't have that exact Sidi boot, but I do have the B-One (Pretty cheap, but nice). Sidi makes a great boot. They are pricey, but you always get what you pay for. I'd definitely take the Sidi over the Icon.

Thanks, this is EXACTLY the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I need to find a dealer that actually stocks these things. i have no problem paying $250 for a pair of boots because i know I'll get at least 5 years out of them.
Hmm, those Sidi Canyon boots do look nice. I like the strap over the ankle.
I don't have that exact same boot, but I do have a pair of SIDI Vertebra boots (I guess there called "B2" now). There are pricey, but the quality is outstanding.
I think they (at least the B-2) fit's a little big, I usually take a size twelve, when I tried the 12 on in the store it was little big so I've ordered the next size smaller, which I think is close to an 11.5. The problem is they are in European sizes which don't equate to the same as US sizes, one full European is not one full US. Newenough have a handy size comparison chart on there website.
I would say they are a tad on the big side as well. I wear a 10 and I have a little more room than with my other shoes. I would order what you normally would. Not off by much.

Do Sidi's run true to size between each of their boots? Meaning, if I try on a Strada, the Canyon will fit similar.
I realize that you have to try on the exact boot but I've been calling around for a week with no luck on locating them.

Go to newenough.com. They carry Sidi boots. They show these boots on their site. They also have a sizing conversion chart.
European boot/shoe makers all use their own last. Therefore, boots from different makers will have different shapes. It is good to get a boot that matches the shape of your foot especially if you intend to wear it for any length of time and not hurt.
Trying them on is the best idea. The only place that I know of that stocks any number of Sidi boots is Performance Cycle in Denver. Maybe you want to take a ride. smile.gif
I have worn Sidi bicycle shoes since 1987. And motorcycle boots since 1990 something. I have four pair of their motorcycle boots now.
The same size always fits me the same way no matter what kind of shoe/boot. The quality has always been excellent.
If you cannot find any to try on, send an e-mail to newenough and explain the problem. See what they have to offer in the way of a solution.

I've had mine for 2.5-3 years (Vertebrae II) and they have saved me from breaking my foot at least twice when: 1) A 5 gallon tub of paint fell out of a truck in front of me and hit my foot. 2) A 4x4 fell out of a truck and struck my foot. Both times my foot was sore for a week or so, but with anythign less I'd probably have a broken foot or toes at least.

I love Sidi boots. I have three different sets in my closet...Sorry, not the one you want. I have owned a bunch of others over the years all the way back to my Sidi bicycle shoes for race'n. Every one has done a great job for me and I will be buy'n more when my On-Roads, Discoveries and Champions die.
Those canyon boots look like they would be a little big in the toe area to shift. Of course if your used to wearing those kind of boots it probably wont matter.
I hate boots. That said, I recently bought the Sidi vertigo airs. Man, those things are super sweet. Took me all of 10 minutes to get used to them. Shifting is superb. They are very light, and breath well. 110% happy with that purchase. You can walk in them fine, but I wouldn't go on a hiking trip with them.
I wear a 10.5 US, I bought the size 46 I believe. They are a tad large, so they might work well for a size 11. The conversion chart says a 46 is for 10.5-11 I believe. I could be wrong on the 46, but thats what I remember. Whatever the chart says.
I just picked up a pair of Oxtar Evos from newenough.com. Nice street boots. If I was going to the track regularly, I probably would have sprung for the Sidis but these are well made, offer good shin/ankle protection. Just my .02
I don't know about sizes running small or large but do feel the Sidi's are on the narrow side. That being said, I have the Sidi strada evo's and love'em. Not to flashy and perfect when riding (waterproof also).

I have the Sidi B-One boots. Great boots and very comfortable! I ordered my normal size and they fit fine.
I got a pair of the Sidi Sympatex boots, very comfy, easy to walk around in, feet don't get wet or cold...feet stay happy in them. Can't say that about my USAF size 10 steel toes.
