clothing stores in new england

Id like to get some padded over pants for protection while commuting but i really need to try things on. Any thoughts as to where i could go that is reasonably priced and has a good selection of stuff??

They may be a bit overpriced, depending on what you're looking for, but if you do decide to buy something from them, they're going to make sure you walk out of there with something that fits YOU correctly....

They are cheap and comfortable even in NE humidity. I haven't gone down with them thankfully but they seem to be pretty tough.

I've bought a lot of MC clothing. In the last few years I have come around to realize no matter how hard I try to get something good for less, when it comes to clothes you get what you pay for.

If you want some seriously nice stuff that fits really well & likely has a warranty & really nice service go check out Moto Market... I have had nothing but awesome luck with everything I've bought from them, even if it is expensive.

They even let me swap a pair of boots for a different size AFTER I had rode around in them.

They all ride like maniacs and half the staff races, everything they stock seemingly is awesome stuff as they try out the products and actively search out the best stuff no matter how they hard they have to try to get it into the US and sold here.

I just bought some Joe Rocket pants online for commuting and saved a bunch but I am already kind of kicking myself for not just spending the extra $50 to get something better at Moto Market... with the better stuff they have they would have fit me into something that didn't have a gigantic waist and at the same time be too short. (And yah, I already exchanged the Joe Rocket for a different size once)

Yup, when I was commuting to work on the bike, I wore them over pants/shorts every day. I am very happy with them. As far as quality, well, you'll see the quality when you look at them, tough zippers, tough material. They definitely do make me feel safe. Plus I have a titanium air mesh jacket that connects to the pants to make them into almost a two piece.

Don't get me wrong, I like Moto Market, they were awesome when I went searching for my tankbag and they helped me choose the correct one for what I needed, but I do like the larger selection at Brockton.

For high quality and price go to Moto Market in Acton.

For a big selection, but I question some of the quality, go to Brockton Cycles.

For what I think is a good combo of both, try Freedom Cycle in Concord NH. They have a lot of Motophoria stuff, which I really like.

Other than this I haven't seen a lot of places with a decent selection, and believe me I have looked. One place that I want to check out but I haven't gotten down to is Windmill Cycles in N.Dartmouth. Anybody? Anybody? huh.gif

I bought a pair of Hein Gericke overpants from newenough.com.
They come with a zip-in liner and are warm in the winter (14F) and air mesh
so they are cool in the summer (90F). I do not wear heated clothing and coming from New Hampshire I have learned to dress for the weather properly.
They come with armored knees and an adjustable waist band. If I could afford Aerostitch or Vanson, I would buy them but these are reasonably priced ,keep you warm, cool,very comfortable and offer good protection.
I wear them for my daily commute 49 weeks per year.
