I just ordered a pair of these and was wondering if anyone had them and what they thought about them. I know its a little late to be asking laugh.gif but I havent really ever heard anything bad about Sidi boots. I just want to know what to expect and how long it will take to break them in.

http://www.newenough.com/sidi_strada_evo_air_boots_page.htmLooks like a similar boot to what you ordered, but the ones I bought are vented. Break in time was minimal. I've done a couple of 300-mile touring days in 'em and a two-day track class. I had a hot spot in one around my little toe, but after an hour of riding in them, the pain went away and I haven't noticed it again.
I wear Under Armour Hot Gear boot socks. My feet do get warm in traffic and standing around. But, on the track days, it was 80+; as soon as I got moving, my feet cooled off nicely.

Yeah I looked at those but I figured with all the sporadic rain we get in FL (not right now apparently, but at least the fires are calmed down) I should go with the Tepor ones. I wear non vented leather boots now and last summer, and the heat has never really seemed to bother my feet.
I have a pair.
I'm happy with them. They required almost no break-in.
They've kept my feet dry MOST of the time (I've ridden in quite a bit of rain with them; there was only 1 day when my feet got wet. Kinda strange, as it was just the toe of my left sock that was soaked. And it has not happened again since.)

I bought one of these from Absolute cycle a couple of days ago and they haven't arrived yet. Not only they have the best prive on the market but they also gave me a $25 discount. Total price (including shipping) was $55 less than newenough! beer.gif
Vertigo tepor I've had a pair of the Evo Tepors for something over 2 years and, while I don't have much a of basis for comparison I like them a lot. I've worn them in light cold rain and on 500 mile rides in 100+ degree heat. The one time my feet got a little wet is when I was walking around in ankle deep water in a stream trying to compose a photograph. Wet may be too strong a word, I noticed some dampness after several minutes in the water.
hth,
Edit: I should add that I can't say I noticed a need to break them in at all. Once I got the size sorted, they were comfortable out of the box.

agreed on sizing. I usually wear an 11W and I think I wear a 45 in Sidi boots for some reason.
I decided to go one up b/c of the ankle / heal support, but seriously considered these as well. Look like great boots!
You'll love'em! Sidi's do seem a bit narrow so I hope you don't have wide feet.

Yeah I wear an 11 as well and I ended up going with the size 45. Scheduled to arrive on Thursday. Maybe I'll luck out and get them a day early! biggrin.gif

Vertigo tepor
Yeah yeah... brag it up tongue.gif I didn't get the Vertigos. They are too fancy for me..lol
I have a pair that I've worn for 3 years--worn them in every temperature--28 to 98 degrees. I ride in the rain alot, and they have never leaked through the boot....and I can walk in them all day if I have to--very comfortable--which is graet because I have a tough time finding comfortable boots in my size (48 european). matter of fact I like them so much I just bought a pair of vertigo tepor boots from new enough last week--I just had to apply that texasmac gift certificate to something!

I bought a pair of these earlier this season and have been wearing them on every ride. They are very comfortable.
I just returned from a 2500 mile ride through northern Quebec and it rained every day of the trip. The only time I noticed any dampness inside the boot was after the third day when we rode in rain all day. The insides were slightly damp, but I couldn't tell if it was water or sweat. They do tend to get warm.
Cheers,
Rob
