Hey guys, need your opinion on this one.
I won't have time to find out before I go to use it so .......

With the water-proof liner in, at what temperature does this jacket become uncomfortable? (lowest temp)
I think I'll be riding in a morning temp of about 14 deg C or about 60 deg F.
I was going to layer up underneath but I'm just not to sure about this? I was out in 20C, 70F weather and it seemed like 6 degrees less would make a big difference?
It will warm up in the afternoon (28C, 87F) so I can peel layers off as it warms up.

Seems like a nice jacket though. The price was right for sure, $130 canuck, brand new!

That liner is "airtight", so it gets warm real fast. My guess is that anything above 65F would be uncomfortable. Depending on what you had underneath, even 60 might be a little too warm. I rode this winter [Florida] with the jacket, that liner and a long sleeve tee under it in 38F temps at high speeds and was fine.

So yeah, you're right to worry about it becoming too warm once the sun gets up and the air warms. You're right at the "in between" temps for this liner.

I think that the jacket will be fine down to 55 degrees with the liner. With the clothes underneath, I think it will be fine down to about 45 degrees if you like cold weather.

If you don't think you'll be seeing temps BELOW 60F, that liner will be more than adequate as your "cold weather gear". As N.O. said, a tee underneath the liner (and jacket) will be fine for 45 and up, I'm pretty sure. I found that having my neck protected really helped me stay warm with just that tee/liner/jacket in cool weather.

I've ridden in my reactor mesh with the liner and a ski base layer top underneath as low as mid 30's and was toasty.

Sounds like I'll be ok.
Also sounds like this jacket is more versatile than I thought.
It seems applicable to a wide range of temps. 50deg to whatever.
I'll be wearing the other (warm) jacket for fall and spring rides now.

Its a warm weather jacket. I bought a mesh jacket and a perforated leather. After comparing both (teknic supervent and chicane)I think the leather is only slighly warmer than the mesh in the heat and protects much better. In your case I would recommend the Teknic Cyclone Jacket 3/4 waterproof cold weather gear, or the Cortech Adavanced Jacket same as above. Combine that with a leather jacket or your mesh and your set for all kinds of weather.
