Shark Helmet

im looking at shark helemts i was just wondering if anyone has one and what they think, like how they fit ,noise level, comfort ect..

Hey Steve, I've just been looking at buying one of them to replace my 5 yr old Arai. Two of my mates have the the RSFs and are very impressed. These helmets are excellent in terms of noise because of the visor design with no side pods and the visor change setup is just brilliant. The lining quality seems pretty good to me. I think that the mid range RSX (composite fibres and the 3mm thick visor) at about $599AUD ($50 cheaper for a solid colour) is probably the pick of them, but I may end up with the cheaper, all fibreglass RSF. The early ones on the market in Oz were made in France but all the ones I've looked at are made in Thailand. Cheers Jules.

A friend bought the RSi, I was impressed, I'll be looking at getting one this winter.

I will also be looking at a Shark RSi or RSX when it's time to replace my Arai. They seem to have a similar head shape, according to WebBikeWorld review of the RSI.

Man, I like the look of the Shark a lot!
I may have to trade-in my Suomy!
I especially liked the comments in the review about oval head shape vs. round, I have been stuffing my oval head into a round helmet for the last two and a half years.

Just bought a Shark a week ago. Love it out of the box. Quitest helmet I've ever owned. Great fit. For me the visor opening allows me an almost panoramic view. What's more I've found that I can actually feel the venting work on a hot day. It was between shark and Arai and I just couldn't get a good fit with any model Arai so I tried on a Shark, can't remember the model, but a perfect fit. Very comfortable lining. Try one on, they have several models. I lucked out, a local retailer was having a 50% off sale on all helmets originally priced over $200!
