Motorcycle Boot Stretch

What is y'all experience with motorcycle boots stretching.  Particularly Sidi.  I have had a horrible time finding a boot that fits right.  I just bought a pair of Sidi Mega Way boots from Newenough and it is yet another pair of boots which is too narrow on one foot.  I was really looking forward to these because they are rated EE width and thought they might fit.  But just like the last pair I ordered (Rev'it freestyle) they are too narrow on my right foot.  It feels like my right pinky toe is really cramped and it will drive me nuts to wear them all day.  Will these boots stretch?  

The local cycle shops don't carry a huge selection and I really don't like the ones they do carry, so trying them on is difficult.

Depends what they're made from.
Most boots are now made from Lorica, which is a 'synthetic leather' (i.e., plastic), and they won't stretch much, if at all.
My boots have all been leather - the last two pairs were StylMartin, which are waterproof, and very comfortable as the last they use to make them is for a wide foot. As my feet are wide and flat (I use them as flippers), they're ideal for me. They're comfortable from the first.
My current pair are StylSafe, and have much Carbon Fibre in them including a "boot within a boot" which has carbon fibre panels on ankles, shin, sides, etc.

Take a look at Z Custom, they do custom fit boots, prices competitive with the brand name off the rack boot brands like Sidi or AlpineStars.  :thumbsup:

Sounds like you have same problem as me, the front of my foot is wide & allot of shoes & boots wont fit me even if correct length.

I have found the Alpinestar SMX boot does the job for me & there the best fitting boots/shoes I own & allow for major width toe area. I have tried every boot there is because to me cumfort is more important that price & the worst boot for me where SIDI to narrow toe area.

As for stretch most boots/shoes these days don't have much give so when new if they hurt your feet then chances are they will stay that way, the only way to try to stretch is with boot very wet.

I have the Sidi Vertigo Air's I doubt they will stretch much. You might just go a size up. Being euro sized, the size differences aren't as great I don't think as us boots. I was in between sized and went with the larger one. I know New enough has great customer service and they probably will not hesitate to send you a larger size pair to try, and probably some Alpine Star boots as well. They will just tell you to ship back what you don't want.

If it feels too tight from the start, send them back.
If you cannot send them back, you may be in luck and find a old fashioned shoemaker.
If the boots are made from leather, he may have a machine that comprises of two metal "feet" that can expand in various directions, slowly stretching over 1-2 days.

I would love to hear of any other suggestions for those of us with wide feet. I was considering the Sidi Mega Way (I'm on Paul's mailing list from Newenough too) but now I'm not so sure.

I have stupid-wide feet too...  ended up getting a set of Vega Nitro Touring boots... fit wonderfully, and very reasonably priced from what I've seen ...   here's some for $50  Jafrum  second line down on the right...

Thanks for this suggestion. My Sidi Mega Ways were back ordered from New Enough so I decided to try these. They just came in and they fit great! I like your description of stupid-wide, I think it applies to my feet. For those looking for wide width, these are it. I usually take a 10-1/2 WIDE so I went with 11 in the Vega. Perfect fit.  Also, the leather is soft and seems like it would stretch a bit. They are actually $70 unless you buy 5 or more pairs, then they are $50.
