A while ago I set out on a quest for a system helmet (Dutchy does Powerranger) and nearly bought a BMW helmet.
But the fit wasnot right afterall.

So -believing- I tried all available system helmets on the dutch market, I gave up. Until last week when I came across the new for 2007 HJC FS-Max.

A "steal" for Euro 260 (compared to the Beemer), the fit was tight around the head and I thought "it will give a little with time"

It has a sun visor built inside (a slide at the top to engage, a button to make it slide back)

But after riding for 3 hours....
djeezus did my head hurt and the draft (despite having this fabric thingie supposed to block draft under the helmet) made my left eye painfull. Yeah, blink more I hear you say but this was silly. T o top it off, my earplugs became painfull to wear.

So I phoned the shop and they'd order a size up (not in stock). Today I drove up, handed the one back (cleaned off the bugs first....) and tried the larger one. But still, an uncomfortable fit.

So I knew I was in trouble.....
No not with the shop, they're cool.
But I'd spotted the helmet I've always wanted.....

Different brand from my Shoei, so there goes the recent investment into a blue reflective visor..

Och well, you only live once.... so add a dark visor, add a pinlock.....

Ozzies rule, always have and are again
(sorry Rossi, but AGV's donot fit me....)

in real life, the red is more red/orangie/pinkie....

So this one is for Mick, the hero of my youth....

I tried that helmet on at Bikeweek in Daytona and fit was great. I didn't get the change to ride with it, and it isn't scheduled to release in the US until mid-July - early-August. The sun visor thing seems to be a feature thats becoming more common in helmets these days, The new Scorpion has it, and one of the new Shoei's thats coming out in a couple months also has it. If that helmet would have already been out I might would have ended up with one, but after research and trying on more helmets I ended up with the Shoei Multitec. Thanks for review!
