Hi, ordered a light smoke shield for a Shoei RF-1000. Do any of you know where a case can be bought for the shield so I can carry the other without it being scratched up?

Yes. I have a fleece lined, zippered pouch, with straps to clip it around my waist. It fits the shields for my RF1000 pretty perfectly. It is made by Fieldsheer. I was a little worried that the zipper would scratch the shield, but it doesn't, it's never been an issue.

That being said, apart from the straps allowing me to clip it around my waist, I don't find this thing any more useful than just putting the shield in a sock. And if you put the shield away bug-covered (as I sometimes do) then the sock is better - just turn it inside out and throw in the laundry hamper, and get a clean sock from the drawer. I don't have a drawer full of these fancy shield pouches, so I actually have to worry about when I'll clean this thing if I'm gonna use it again after putting away a grimy shield in it.

I just use the helmet bag that came with the helmet - it's perfect, and it was 'free'. When I'm wearing the helmet, either the clear or tinted visor lives in the bag.
