  1. VFR 800 fi (98) - hello everyone (Givi tank bag problem) 21 Mar 2026 20:36 A bit off topic but applicable, I bought the Givi S430 kit to use the tank bags as a quick release tail bag. Just had to be mindful of flat bottom Givi tank bag and not ones that are angled for certain tank profiles.
  2. VFR 800 fi (98) - hello everyone (Givi tank bag problem) 21 Mar 2026 15:38 I used the BF03 attachment ring on my previous 2000. It's now on my 2007. You will need to get the outer ring that clips into the Givi bag also.
  3. Nice purchase surprise 6 Mar 2026 02:52 Forks apart for inspection and refresh. Way over sprung for my weight. Andreani folks says the 10.3 springs with the kit are for 230lb rider or more. Yikes !!
  4. Hello! Here's my new to me 2007 VFR 6 Mar 2026 00:00 5 hours ago, Presson A warm welcome. The UK must have some special filters now though as your pictures are ' content not viewable in your region'. I'll just imagine you have an excellent find. Click on Sweepers profile…
  5. Nice purchase surprise 4 Mar 2026 17:59 Odd thing on the seat cowl is that my friends 2008 is grey, but came that cowl from a 2007 RWB. I've also got a carbon look one from "off shore" and it fits rather nicely.
  6. Nice purchase surprise 4 Mar 2026 01:44 No thanks, motorbike parts are a better investment. 🤑
  7. Nice purchase surprise 3 Mar 2026 16:24 Friend bought a clean 2008 last weekend. Called me last night and said it came with a "box of parts" he didn't want or need. Some old forks, seat cowl and pegs and stuff. Made him an offer he accepted and he brought…
  8. Hello! Here's my new to me 2007 VFR 3 Mar 2026 02:11 MC is correct via conversation with PO when I was looking to buy it. "...... McCruise electric cruise control. The cruise vacuum model needs to be cleaned. It's pretty straight forward but requires the fairings off. If…
  9. Hello! Here's my new to me 2007 VFR 3 Mar 2026 01:47 Just the nickname given by a PO. Not sure why as he could hustle it pretty good thru the mountain curves.
  10. Hello! Here's my new to me 2007 VFR 3 Mar 2026 01:32 That's "Ole Heavy". I almost bought it last year but it was too many hours away and I had just bought a Blackbird. Lots of tasteful mods on that VFR. Previous owner ( or 2 ago ) told me the cruise control vacuum *model*…
  11. Yellow 5th Gen painting 3 Feb 2026 00:27 Reminds me of this.... lol
  12. Winter VFR preventive maintenance 5 Nov 2025 13:50 16 hours ago, Lorne Why not white? Though anything other than dark grey/black looks great in a tricolore VFR. Perhaps this comparison will help you choose. Because if I go with white, I'm going to spend too much money…
  13. Speaking of tools... 24 Oct 2025 13:28 I got these for my son when he moved from NC to CO. Was hard not to buy them at basically $100 each. Then got me the Kobalt set as spares for myself.…
  14. Winter VFR preventive maintenance 24 Oct 2025 01:00 Looking at putting the grey / silver wheels on my 07 Anniversary. Must......resist.....white wheels.... Going to do annual coolant flush, brake bleed, oil and filter change stuff. Replace fork springs with proper weight…
  15. Gear indicator 15 Jul 2025 18:03 Not had an aftermarket one until this VFR. My FJR1300 has it stock. Will say that after riding the VFR with the gear indicator, I'll be adding to any bike that doesn't have one. Handy device for sure to keep me checking…
  16. Hello from the humid MidWest! 9 Jul 2025 09:03 bmart, 7/7/2025 at 11:26 AM Welcome. Sargent seat is the ticket. monitor the forums....... This popped up on FBMP.. https://www.facebook.com/share/1C3rnAUSUN/
  17. Rear suspension 26 May 2025 19:17 Does it have stock looking silver colored triangle pieces? Otherwise could possibly have a lowering link / dog bone. Granted I use center stand on all my bikes and by no means is the VFR the easiest, but isn't what I…
  18. Rear suspension 26 May 2025 18:30 I think stock seat height was like 31.5" or there abouts. Start by checking the triangles at the lower shock / linkage area to see which way the small arrow is pointing. Stock, the arrow is pointing forward. Some folks…
  19. 1998 vfr clutch plates 24 May 2025 19:02 One of my FZ1 had similar couple years ago. Pulled the plates, separated and then soaked the fibers in oil overnight. Reassembled and all was sorted.
  20. What is your prefered air filter? 8 May 2025 08:38 Interesting. Do you know part number of the one with larger surface area?
  21. What is your prefered air filter? 4 May 2025 20:32 Another HiFlo vote.
  22. Returning VFR owner 30 Apr 2025 22:43 Rubber strap is from 6th Gen. Battery holder thingie like on photo. [image: P1150225-3043188447.thumb.jpg.031c3f419871e63870eab8493d337357.jpg]
  23. What to look for before purchase - 2007 RWB model 24 Apr 2025 17:47 Good eye Capt. Was going to say look at that side saddlebag but if the side case is scratched, most likely the bad wasn't on it at the time of the drop. Take a looksee at the brake pedal, bar end and even the passenger…
  24. What to look for before purchase - 2007 RWB model 23 Apr 2025 22:30 And seat cowl.... nice. Tank ring means a quick release bag at some time. Aftermarket levers too.
  25. What to look for before purchase - 2007 RWB model 23 Apr 2025 20:16 PM inbound.
  26. What to look for before purchase - 2007 RWB model 23 Apr 2025 17:26 White wheels doesn't have anything to do with ABS or not. If the stock 5 spoke rear, it means someone painted or powder coated. If it has the 8 spoke rear, you'll be getting about a $500+ upgrade circa 1990-93 VFR750.…
  27. Balancing the Rear Wheel 15 Apr 2025 17:37 Finally found it, but from the other sandbox. Made a couple of them and works pretty darn good. Not $3 any longer thought... LOL https://vfrworld.com/threads/6th-gen-interceptor-3-00-rear-wheel-balancing-adapter.47822/
  28. Drop-Pegs & Adapters Research Aggregation | Knight Designs Footpegs - Quickie review 4 Mar 2025 19:30 Never felt the need for lowered as well. But the '07 I bought last year already had them on it. Was about a 2.5 hour ride from the seller back home and even after the first half hour or so, I was like "this isn't bad at…
  29. Can anyone validate what's in this video? 17 Nov 2024 12:33 I was at the EICMA show couple weeks ago and saw no such thing.
  30. Lifting front wheel without center stand 30 Oct 2024 17:29 1 hour ago, bmart No centerstand? Yup, that's that he said... ".....My bike doesn't have center stand, any idea or experience on how to securely doing that?....." 😉
  31. Strange tire wear on tires 24 Oct 2024 13:51
  32. Fuel injection issue 7 Oct 2024 18:34 The 2000 I previously had sat for about 2 years before I bought it. Would prime and turn over just fine. But never started. Pulled the injectors and sent them out for inspection. All 4 injectors were clogged and…
  33. 2014 vfr800 steel braided brake line 29 Sep 2024 18:58 Echo Brad 100%. The '07 I bought earlier this year had a complete braided line kit and totally different to my friends 2009 with stock lines. SS lines transformed my 03 FZ1 also. Almost want to tackle braided lines on…

  35. It was too cheap! 8 Aug 2024 13:46 Thanks T. I was todays years old when I found this out. Had to go look at mine to verify and TA-DA.... it's there !!!
  36. It was too cheap! 3 Aug 2024 12:59 And I'd not consider errant hoses and such as OCD. Just how it should be. I spent a couple hours on my RWB sorting the bolts, screws and plastic push pins. Carry on good man, great encouragement in your efforts.
  37. It was too cheap! 20 Jul 2024 11:37 Do you use some secret sauce on the black bits like the chain cover or was it still new looking and not faded yet?
  38. It was too cheap! 17 Jul 2024 14:14 More than likely, a few miles with those new pads will sort itself out. One thing I've done since the mid 90's, is always bead blast the surface area of the rotors when changing pads. Luckily we have a bead blaster at…
  39. It was too cheap! 15 Jul 2024 00:38 Those black fork bottoms look mint. That's going to be a definite winter project.
  40. New AGV Helmet 7 Dec 2023 13:35 15 hours ago, bmart For me, tied for #1 are safety and comfort. Then venting/shield usage ease/clarity. Then ability to remove and clean interior. Then price point, although I always buy clearance. I wish that they'd…
  41. WTB: 5th gen grab handles 23 Nov 2023 01:00 To my knowledge, 5th fits 5th, 6th to 6th, etc. I have a set left over from my 2000. Will sent you a PM
  42. oem right front brake pads 15 Nov 2023 14:56 Learning moment.... perhaps look at the part numbers, from the whatever brand you ordered, to see if they show fronts and rear are the same part number ? Or check with the old pads on the bike now, to see if they fit…
  43. 5th Gen Sargent Seats 8 Nov 2023 15:58 Great condition 2 piece front and rear seats with red piping. No rips or tears. $260 shipped from NC [image: ss1.jpg] [image: ss2.jpg] [image: ss3.jpg] [image: ss4.jpg] [image: ss5.jpg] [image: ss6.jpg] [image: ss7.jpg]
  44. Lumpy VFR 5TH GEN 10 Oct 2023 12:58 With that low of miles, it seems the motorbike has sat for some time. I would also investigate the fuel filter, but be advised it is inside of the tank. Simple checks such as the connectors to the ignition coils and…
  45. Kenda KM1 - $153 Tire Set 23 May 2023 17:57 It's because of the extra forces and weight on the left side when you ride with your left hand on your hip.... taken from the "gixder forums".... 🤪
  46. Service from authorized dealers on older bikes 16 May 2023 15:26 THIS ^^^^^ From my '93 decades ago to my '04 a few years back, neither ever needed any valve adjustments. So with the project 2000 I have, and to quote a former President.... "not gonna do it".
  47. Service from authorized dealers on older bikes 13 May 2023 17:59 Most dealerships hold that 10 year rule. As others suggested, find an independant shop and in reality, will probably get better service, rates and proper attention for the bike.
  48. Kenda KM1 - $153 Tire Set 7 May 2023 00:15 Any update on these kicks after the cross country trek?
  49. 98 Gen 5 VFR runs rich (but all usual symptoms seem to function properly) 2 May 2023 00:47 How is the routing of the vent and drain tubes from the furl cap from bottom of tank?
  50. 8th gen exhaust on 5th gen vfr 17 Mar 2023 13:32 So center stand bumper and the stopper tab on the stock midpipe lines up perfectly ? And still jealous of the UK blue version, btw....
