Just got back from running the roads of N. Ga. last week. Had 5 days of riding with one day the temp. started out in Cleveland, Ga. at 32F. & at Suches a balmy 27F. Mon/rain, Tues/snow great wx. Got better on Thur and Fri, but the rocks in the mountains sucked. Anyway lots better than riding the flat straight roads of Fl.
I've had a set of Met Z-6's and now have 7478 miles on them and feel that the rear needs replacing(has that flat-land flat-spot). I've been very satisfied with them. Really great in the mountains in the warmer wx. and not that bad when it was colder than hell!!!! I would recommend them as a good sport-touring tire. My next tires will be the Pirelli Diablo's as I will only be riding up north and milage is not a big issue. Anyway that's how it is here on Page 1 with more to come on Page2.

I must say that I agree with you on the Z-6's. I only have a few hundred miles on them, but they stick like glue compared to my OEM's. They soften up the bumps while still letting me feel what's going on and I felt more comfortable at max lean than I ever have. I haven't ridden in the rain, but I've ridden on roads that still had water running across from earlier precipitation and found that they will grip farther than I want to lean in the wet. My only questions left to be answered are total milage numbers. Your milage results are 3k more than what I got on the OEM's so that's great! I hope I can get the same results. :)

Thanks for the report. :beer: 7500 miles out of a tire is great. How wide is your chicken strip? Any slip out in a hard lean while on the gas? :huh: :wheel:

I know the question is directed toward Pal, but you've seen my chicken strips on the old Dunlop OEM's. I'm just over 1/8" on the rear Z's and I've scraped pegs with them where I never did on the OEM's. The front has a lot more unused rubber. I'd love to have the time and money to do a track day with them and a set of Rennsports where I don't have to worry about hitting a cage or a tree just to see the difference. :wheel:

Chicken strips' are about 1/2"or less. It only feels sorta weird when it (last trip very cold) goes from the flat spot to the sides of the tires. Then it feels fine, if I was real good I could figure out a way to just stay on the sides, maybe even get 10,000 miles out of the rear. Front tire is not cupped and will probably last through most of another rear tire, but I'm really thinking about replacing both!
