I live in North Florida and wanted a comfortable all around type pant. I wanted the motoport stuff but too pricy for my budget. I got the fuel pants for $129 and love them. I have rode from 50-94 degrees and they are great. I like the CE armor at knees (and I bought addt hip armor) very comfy. The design is great with reflective piping. Leather on the knees, shins, and hips (top notch). They are very comfortable until 90+ degrees. Not overly squidy! squid.gif .

What I don't like. You sacrifice the breathability for protection (IMO worth it!). I wore them home from work and at 93 degrees I was done like a Thanksgiving turkey when I arrived home! Still not as bad as I had predicted. They appear to be water resistent....haven't tried that out yet. The button close fly will be a question of durability. Could use zippers all the way up to incorporate a over pant syle to these puppies. All in a all a very nice pair of pants with an awesome warranty. I highly recommend these if you are like me and cannot afford the motoport stuff now! Also see new enough's description: http://www.newenough.com/firstgear_fuel_pants_page.htm
