VFR Discussion Group -> Grips?

Has anyone changed out their grips? I think that I'd like something a little wider and with as little vibration as possible.

Lots of us use Pro Grips....one of their many versions. They can be found at many dealerships and places like Cycle Gear.
Another grip that's getting some attention are the "Spider" grips....www.spidergrips.com

I have the gel progrips (red thank you), but have not heard any reviews of the spider grips. They are pretty cheap on EBay, may have to try a pair.

I've got some Gel Progrips right now. I wanted something thicker than the stock grips. They were the thickest I could find without going to something made for a cruiser.

Spidergrips are advertised to dampen vibration and still be as thin as possible.

I agree, Pro Grip Gels are the best ones I found out there. You can go with the nice/understated look of their plain black diamond pattern grips, which I always get for my VFR, or the many other different designs with all kinds of colors and grip pattern designs. Cheap too! I think I only paid close to 8 bucks for the last pair. I don't think Honda OEM can match that price!

I concur with ProGrips. I have had a few different sets on the bike, trying to experiement with what I liked best. The other cool thing about ProGrips...they give you a sticker to put on your bike. B)

Progrip 714's. YAHA BABY!

I still prefer the look and feel of the stockers on my '99. I've seen plenty of aftermarket grips on other bikes, and they don't seem to hold up well.
I am looking for a set of stock 5th gen grips for my F3. Any donations will be accepted.

Gell Progrips for me here. Love 'em! I like the added thickness (less arm pump for me) and they are much stickier. I've had them for 16k miles so far and they still look / feel great.

Progrips here as well, with the red gel covered by black rubber. The stockers are okay, but the throttle gets slick as it wears. I'm a lot happier with the high profile and wider diameter on the Progrips. Doesn't keep my Throttle Rocker from working well, either! :beer:

FWIW, Ijust pulled a set of Spider grips off and put my Pro Grips back on.
