I'm thinking after lots of research, I want to get the cortect bag. I like the construction of cortech products. I also own the sport tail bag, and I feel that it attches well, even at 120 mph, I barely wiggled.

Hey downtick, yes I have the cortech, we had a different tail bag thread I posted a pic in awhile ago. It works great, it's wider then others, well built, plenty of pockets for shield spray, ear plugs, phone, keys, rain suit, rain cover for bag, extra shield, legal papers, owners manual, sometimes camera, etc. In the other thread I mentioned i attach it by tying the bungee cords together and put them under the seat (see pic). It doesn't scratch the paint or damage the seat in anyway. It's a bit more difficult for me to get a leg up though smile.gif Hope that helps.
I think that the bag in the link that I sent is a little different..it's more of a dufflebag shape.

The owner name is Glenn at sportour and he had a vfr. He likes talking about the bike. I have both the TourMaster Cortech Sport and the Cortech Motorcycle Saddlebags. There is no difference other then one having a safety strip on the bag. I got the sport because they came in red. All the bags interlock with each other and you have a bungee cord on the bufflebag to add extra security for those speed days. As mentioned it's a bit more difficult for me to get a leg up though.
I'm runnin the first one and there interlocking bags. So far so good as I only have 200 miles on them and the bike. Lots of compartments and affordable. I set up the top bag so the reflective strip is to the rear (no brainer? ) Maybe its just me , but it seems like the police aren't as likely to come down on me with the tour setup on board.
The top model has been on tour with me for >12K miles and is an essential piece of kit for multi-day trips.
I've fabricated 1" nylon webbing and "male" fastex buckles to use the "female" fastex fittings on the bag for attachment to the bike. The 'front' two are attached to frame tubes and tuck under the seat when not in use, the 'rear' pair loop under my Renntec rack. This mod is much more positive than the bungies provided with the bag but I still cover the pack with a bungie net as a "safety" attached to the frankenbolts and rack. If I were to ride the cratered surface of I-10 in Louisiana again I'd attach the bungies as well.
