Just bought these yesterday. I'd looked at Marsee, Cortech, and Joe Rocket bags. The Oxford bags were considerably more expensive, but every aspect of the bags, compared side by side, was visibly, sometimes dramatically, superior to the others. Even the rain covers are much more substantial, and even have their own pockets. The bags were about 25% more than the Cortechs (can't remember the prices of the others) but are larger, better made, more versatile, etc. This is one case where I realized the extra money was well spent. The companion tail bag appears to be of equal quality, with even more versatility, converting to a daypack, and even having a zip-off "bum bag" as the Brits say. Very impressive.
Just got back from a two day jaunt with the bags. I gotta say, they're more useful than the bags on my Goldwing. A snap to put on, less than three minutes once I figured it out the first time, lots of zippered pouches for small items, rock solid on the bike at speed, and they'll clearly last forever.
I've got a set of Oxford luggage for two years, I used them instead of the BMW side cases, they have more capacity, less restriction of what you can put inside of them and pretty much waterpoof since they kept the contenets dry through 7+ hours of riding in the rain. I can use them on all of my bikes except dirt bikes..

Sorry it took so long, just noticed this reply. :sleep: They go on in a snap. Er, in a velcro.
There's three big, wide velcro straps on each bag. The middle strap goes under the seat, the two on the ends go on top of the seat, and connect the bags together. The bags come with several additional straps and d-rings on the corners. I simply used two of the straps to attach to the triangle right above the passenger pegs. That was all it took. I could have added straps across the rear, but it wasn't necessary, up to 80mph anyway.
After the first time, it took less than two minutes to attach them.
By the way, they come in colors, blue and red, but not yellow :( .

If by "high pipe" you mean one located in the stock pipe position, that's exactly what i have. Bag didn't come close to touching the exhaust. My 2000 is stock.
