My son and I are planning a little "male bonding trip" this summer, him on his SV650 and me on the trusty Viffer. We plan on setting out from N.E. Pennsylvania, up thru New York to Montreal and then west to Toronto, back thru NY and home.
Recommendations for nice bike roads, accommodations, restaurants, and "scenic have to sees" along the way would be sincerely appreciated, especially through Canada and upstate NY.
We plan on setting out in early June and taking a week to 10 days to complete the loop.

Unfortunately I am no help on what you need to know but I think it's great that you guys are going to take this trip together. I hope you two have a blast and take lots of pics for all of us to see. :)

What a great trip - way to go!

THere are some good roads with lots of twisties north of Kingston - in an area called Callabogie. It is out of the way - and by that I mean it is probably a 90 minute ride north of the superslab Highway 401.

Just north and wesat of TOronto is an area called the FOrks of the Credit - area. Nice twisties there - but it is very Touristie - especially on weekends.

The highway between Montral and Toronto just ain't that exciting unfortunately - you'll have to try to find some detours to keep you thinking. THeres a bunch of Canucks on this site I hope some give you better details than I have.

ENjoy yourselves !

I just PMed you with a link to a site that contains some nice roads, including the one that Ken mentioned, for the Ottawa - Toronto route.
