hi all

I had my 03 out today while I was going a little running around. I stopped at Lowes and tried to put my helmet in the hard bad. It fit but barely. I have an HJC CL14 in XL, the bag closed, but I had to press against the lid with my knee. I tried the helmet facing forwards and back. Oh yeah, they are factory bags.

Is this normal?

That's strange. I have an HJC as a passenger helmet and it fits just fine in my bags. My Arai does as well. Are you unhooking the straps? huh.gif

My Shoei RF1000 fits perfectly in my factory hardbags without "forcing" it closed. I don't know if it is normal with your brand. My helmet is a large.

So it fits with a little....help, ehh..

You lucky guy.

I spent twice the cost of my VFR on a BMW R1100RT in 1999 and a helmet would not fit in either of those bulky bulbous bags.

Straps are unhooked and just hanging there, at first I thought the straps where getting caught in the door, but they are just hanging there inside the bag.

I don't know maybe my head is just too big blink.gif

Well if you didn't have such a big head laugh.gif

I Just tried my old HJC AC10 helmet, it fit perfect. It's also and XL. I think the CL14 is bigger, it even looks bigger. I guess I'll just have to live with it, at least until I get a new helmet.
