VFR Discussion Group -> 2003 Silver (NH411) OEM Bags

Hello,

I just bought a 2003 Silver VFR. I'm trying to find hardbags. Looks like honda discontinued them.

Does anyone know where I can get a set?

I'd prefer to pay less than the 999 MSRP (obviously...). Looks like I just missed an ebay auction (damn!).

Service Honda appears to have them for $797.28. Go to their Interactive Pricing Page and enter part number 08L52-MCW-180.

There the European versions, so they don't have the reflector that the US models do.

I know my local shop (Markham Outdoor Power, (905) 294-2355) shipped a bunch of bags to the US when they first went on sale.

I contacted them and got a quote for $663 CDN for the top case and rack with tax but not shipping and handling. I'm not sure the percentage of tax in Canada but it's high!

I called servicehonda.com and asked them for the same. The total was $488 USD including shipping. I placed my order... hope my g/f feels better for her back support.

That is high. According to the Honda Canada site, the total for the 2 items should be $ 449.90 + 15% tax = $517 CDN, which is what I paid at the end of the summer. I guess the prices have been raised, but not changed on the web-site. Sorry for the misinformation.
