I stayed up after working a graveyard shift to ride with some guys up to wondervu Colorado, I met the first rider Willy G in Colorado Springs and we rode together to Denver where he peeled off to go to a buddys house to fix his Ducati with electrical problems. I waved goodby as he turned off near Perry Park and continued on to Morrison where I was too meet the ST.N crowd from up north.

We were riding hwy 105 from Monument to Sedielia with an SUV hot on our tail, going a good clip too at 80mph, with gravel in the corners too riding in the tire tracks. Mr SUV stayed close all except the tightest corners that were clean. I noticed a ton of snow around either side of Monument, north of it and south but after Monument it cleared up. I guess they call that area the Palmer Divide for good reason its gets the worse weather from both sides!

The trip up Bear Creek is a bit of a repete from the Ride-o-Opportunity but you can't get enough of a good thing can you? This time we had to wait on a couple of cages, Rich took lead and was riding a good quick pace with Chris in front of me and Louis in back. Louis said he just moved up here from Texas and wasn't quite used to these twisty mountain roads. He managed to keep his headlights in my mirrors though! Rich pulled a short cut in Evergreen and we were on the frontage road to I-70 in no time soon heading up the new "Central City Parkway". It is a 4 lane 8 mile speedway practically with decreasing radius turns camberd downhill turns and 180 degree switchbacks with lots of places to wick up the bike a notch.
Rich and I sort of got carried away - it was my first time on the road so I stayed back 50 yards and followed his lead, rolling off at the first sign of brake lights (the man had a radar detector) ;) :thumbsup: I enjoyed the heck out of it as it was pretty clean for the most part and with 4 lanes you could move about easy enough. The Parkway isnt on any of the maps yet. Its a blast!

We split up after a good meal at the Wondervu diner, I rode back over to the pass and snapped those pictures above then rode down Coal Creek canyon. I bought some new riding glasses that are polorized and did not realize how bad my faceshild was, its like a rainbow with these glasses on, very distracting. I need a new shield. I have been meaning to try on a Scorpion helmet and knew that one of the dealers listed was Colorado Motorsports in Castle Rock. I ride over to this dinky little dealership and they are nowhere to be found, just the usual Aria, HJC and some helmet named a Fuches or somthing like that. They did not have them, waste of time!! The salesman was a very helpful guy though good service!

Nice to see a video of folks enjoying some fabulous country, while some of us are cooped up indoors with 3 days of rain, and tomorrow isn't promising neither.

The JVC guys are finnally getting around to repairing my mini DV recorder, I guess I blew a tiny fuse buried deep inside the thing. When I get that back its Video city, wide angle, longer clips to choose from. I am stoked! My little cannon thought is always there for backup! too bad I cant seem to remember to charge the batteries before I go riding, 3 minutes of video and it wasnt even the best parts.

slammer, I have polorized prescription sunglasses and I get the rainbow effect on all of my tinted shields, it even happens with the tint in my car windows, your shield may not be bad?

I also just got some new polarized prescription glasses and the rainbows are extremely distracting. They also make tar strips look like water and I've hit water that was invisible with these on. I see why the fishermen love the things so much. You can see all sorts of weird stuff, tint patterns in dots and stripes on auto glass, tires sometimes look iridescent blue/purple, it gets crazy and very distracting. Polarized lenses were the only option in the frames I selected specifically for riding. I had been warned that they would make water and oil on the road surface disappear and should have listened but I wanted the wrap style frames. Sorry - Thread hijacked here but it is an important issue.

Miguel, I don't know if you have a cigarette plug (or Powerlet) on your VFR, but if you do, you can get an adapter to power up your digital or video camera on the fly. I just bought one today from Radio Shack for $30 (an I-Go model, specific to my camera). It's nice because I can leave the display screen on w/o worrying about charging the batteries.

BTW, another great video. I like the exhaust sounds you added.
