Considering hard bags for my '98...Givi, Krauser, OEM. Would appreciate and thoughts, suggestions, etc.

Also, any idea where I could get OEM bags (red)?

Thanks

Could also consider Hepco Becker....

I've got a set with mounting brackets for a 1998-2001 for sale..$300 US

Send me a PM if interested, they are also listed in the forsale section of this site.

Now, after my shameless plug is out the way..Hard bags in my opinion are the way to go...waterproof and lockable. The only way to go.

Fifth Gen bikes didn't have factory optional hard bags. I don't think the OEM 6th Gen bags will fit the regular GIVI racks, even though they are made by GIVI.
I've got a GIVI Wing Rack, and I was just thinking about selling it today after seeing it in the garage today. PM me if you're interested. Wing Rack, mounting brackets, and two (setup for 2 only) side bags.

I've got the Corbin Beetle Bags on my 5th gen. I didn't like how all of the other bags stuck out so far. I put a Givi E460 trunk on for the long trips. There is a decent amount of room in them, but the opening isn't all that big. You can't get a hemet or anything in them. Of course they are color matched as well. The downfall is the price. Brand new from Corbin they are $999. I bought mine off of E-bay brand new from a dealer that had a set in stock for somewhere around $500.

I'm looking for hard luggage (top box is the priority) for the '01 VFR800 I just bought - and I've having a tough time finding good guidance. Thanks you guys for the help.

Some newbie questions:

1) I didn't know Honda luggage wasn't available for '98 - '01 VFRs. Is Givi the default kit?

2) What's the best, most practical mounting rack setup? I see options with and without indicators.

3) I'm looking at starting with a 46 litre top box and adding the panniers in time. Is this the way to go or are there deals out there to tempt me?

Lastly, I live in London. Are there any other members in this neck fo the woods?
