VFR Discussion Group -> Awesome Day in Ontario!

HOoked up with fellow VFRD member Billr, and went for a great little ride today. Sun was shining, winds were low - just a great day. Stopped for a quick pic at a local Park - Rockwood Conservation area.

From there went to a local bike meeting spot - in Campbellville - and saw a total of 5 VFR's in the same parking lot. Very unusual indeed.

HOpe others had a safe and enjoyable day. My only casualty is my arse - I believe the term to use is Monkey Butt........ouch!!

Also managed to get my old man (this would be the 62 yr old I Polled everyone about awhile ago) looking at bikes this morning - he sat down on a Ducati ST3 and said he like the feel of my Viffer better - he's a smart one!!

Thanks for the pics. Rode in Ottawa for a couple of hours today. Tons of bikes out.

Great early spring pics Ken. I was out myself today, for a nice 130 click cruise around shanty bay on lake simcoe. Spring has sprung :thumbsup:

You guys make me ill. My bike is still in it's winterized incubator in my shed. It will be another month before I can take her out. Enjoy it boys, think of the unfortunate when you twist your wrists!

I got out too - finally - feels good to be back in the saddle.

I made the journey up to Owen Sound to pick up the Viffer (on the back of my dad's HD - that monster rattles your teeth), dropped the battery in and did a few checks, and then rode the Viffer back to Dundas.

Lots of bikers out - what a great day. Ahh - all is right in the world. :goofy:

I was going to wait till sunday to fire my bike up, but did it Friday. Burned up the
old tank of gas. about 300km over the whole weekend.

I couldn't believe all the riders out...almost got tired of waving!!

I propose a home and home series with our Ontario bretheren. I volunteer to show you around SE Michigan. I promise to show you the decent roads and get you a full belly of some local cuisine. All you have to do is run the gauntlet that is the border crossing and Detroit. Once west of town on I-94 you're pretty close to the good riding.

In return, I'd love to see what the Ontario backroads are all about. Whataya think?

Awesome Ken, glad you were able to get some good miles in this weekend and it should only get better ! :thumbsup:
In the 80's here in TN over the weekend, spent most of Saturday taking my buddy down to Chattanooga to pick-up(trailer) a Triumph Tiger and going through it. Did get a nice 300 miles in Sunday after a freaky start !
