I'd be keen to head over to Cambridge - there is a nice little back run from where I live (Dundas) into Cambridge, but once I'm over there I don't know many roads - I usually just loop and come back... :goofy:
The weather's supposed to be nice this weekend....I could get out between noon and 4 on either Sat or Sun - just need to know a few days ahead.
Kkkkkken? Gary? Other South-Central ON riders? Whaddya think?
I'm looking good for Sat or Sun afternoon right now too. If you want to do Someback roads around Cambridge we could do that. Meet up out side of town somewhere?
cbar, Apr 14 2005, 11:30 AMSounds good - let's see if any of the other ON guys come around and we can pick a day...
Saturday is better for me - I could be in Dundas by 11 am, if you wanted to ride over toward Cambridge CBAR. YOu talking about Cedar Rd - or is it 97 - off of Highway 6?
Chris - I found a great road that takes me from Gtown west over to west of Guelph line. (15 sideroad is the name). I could take that, shoot south toward Campbellville - further south down Guelph line - and hook up with you somewhere in that area?
Any way - lets try to nail this down by Friday night so we know what we're doing.

Yeah, that'll be fine. Let me think about a meeting spot...
Once we see a few more posts, we can hammer down the day and time. Right now, Den & I are OK either day, Ken prefers Sat (is Sun out?), and Trebor is Sun only.

Why don't you guys meet at Trac's in Campbellville? Plenty of good options to take from there and there should be plenty of other bikes if you're into that posing thing.
Sorry...can't make it this time. Hope to be on the new VFR by next weekend. Of course the rain will have arrived by then.
 I'm in. Saturday works for me at this point. Any chance of meeting a little further east say orangeville area? Is that 1/2 way for most or all of us? In any case count me in, look forward to meeting you guys. Suppose to be great weather both sat and sunday

DUDE - you need to move south man!!
I could meet you in Hillsburgh, then we could do some back roads I know to Guelph line, jump south to the 401 for a short stretch of slab - and meet up in Cambridge.
CBAR had mentioned some duties with much more important people than us (his kid) so this might give him a little more time if he needed it?
I need to be back into Gtow around 4pm, or else I'm in deepppppppppppp.
...or, instead of hitting 401, you guys could hook up with me somewhere on Guelph line around noon, and then we can take that nice back route to Cambridge. It only takes about an hour. That should give us from around 1 til 3 to arse around Cambridge, and then scoot back for 4 (that's about my limit too)...
KKKen sounds good, i like chris's idea too, back roads  this is looking promising. 401? bleck back rds dude  i need to be back around 4-5 pm
1) DUDE - you and I hook up in Hillsburgh - we can go offline and figure that one out. We should meet around 11:15. 2) CBAR - why don't DUDE and I meet you in Campbellville at the TRACS location, or if you like we could go a little more south, and meet at Guelph Line and Dundas? MEet you around noon hour. 3) From there if we headed toward Cambridge, that's fine - but I need to bail around 3pm.
DUDE - CAmbridge is about 1 1/2 hours from Newmarket - especially if you do the back roads - doing a good clip - just FYI.
OK, let's assume we can get to Cambridge via some agreed upon back route by 1. I'll PM you guys on meeting place/time.
One thing that may impact our route choice - Dennis - you're the Cambridge man - what's the best way for us to come in and hook up with you? The map in one of my above posts is my usual route, but I'm not married to it!
If you guys are going to meet in Campbellville I can do that too, then we can just head out from their if that will make things easier. I will actually be at work tomorrow to so we can finalize things then too. I'll try any layout a half decent route to hit the back roads in Cambridge.
Dennis The Menace, Apr 14 2005, 04:21 PM12:30 is good. I have only been there couple of times, so is it the gas station on the one corner where you meet?
Yes - it is at the intersection of Guelph Line, and Campbellville road - south of the 401. I guarantee if its as nice a day as predicted you'll likely see about 25 other bikes there.
12:30 is the time - CBAR - we'll hang around for you if you need 1:00 or so.
Looking forward to this - and will bring the camera - too bad there is not FLAF involved!! Oh well - we'll make our own.
Would have tried to make it but I am busy untill around 4:00pm and it is quit a ride to Guelph Line for me.Have a great ride on Sat. hope to hook up on the next one.

I'll be there at 12:30. What kind of gas station is it?
And good call on the camera, Ken - the one I use is old and too bulky to slip into a coat pocket (I don't have a big coffee-transporting top box! :goofy: )
This is gonna be great to meet you guys - anyone mind if I ask a bud who just got a new to him Bandit along?

not sure what kind of station it is. Ken is right though, the lot will be filled with bikes when you see it. its hard to miss.
The more the better as far as I am concerned. My younger brother may come too. He does ride a Kawasaki so you'll have to excuse him.
I should probably get off my ass and wash my bike so it looks all pretty. :D

Well Mr. Smart Arse CBAR........ I'd be happy to edjumacate yu on the proper usage of such a massive storage device - I'll make sure the camera is loaded in. Wonder how much coffee it would hold? :D
Hope the weather holds - if it was as cold as it's been in the morning lately - I'm afreaid I'd freeze my nads off!!
Gas station is not a Big Name like shell or esso - I thinkits actually a UPI - or NOCO or something like that. But you can't miss it - if you hit the intersection of Guelph line and Campbellville road - you'll see and hear the bikes.
12:30 meet, and I'll try to make sure all gravel and salt removed from the route that DUDE will be taking - want to make sure that its nice and clear for him.... :goofy:
I encourage you to bring others along - I think that Billr also from Gtown is coming as well. (02 VFR - nicely modded by the way).
Sounds like you guys will have fun but I am shoot for Saturday... need to head downtown T.O., then hoping someone is coming by to see the FJ I have for sale and by 5PM I have to be in Brantford :(
I will just have to wait for the next group ride! I will keep an eye on your plans just in case I get freed up!

Cool - I'll ask my bud if he's free. I guess we can tolerate non-VFRs!! :goofy:
Just went out last night and topped up the tank in anticipation!
