I thought I should take more clothes and gear than I could cram into my tank bag on this trip to Barber than I did last year.
I bought a luggage rack from a VFRD member and figured I would get a cheap duffle bag or something to strap to it.
Saturday my wife and I shopped around and couldn't find anything I was happy with so she says "Here's some money, go and buy what you want. Happy early Birthday!" SWEEET!!! wub.gif
Sunday morning I'm at Cycle Gear waiting on them to open the doors.
I got a Tour Master Cortech Tail bag a Two piece rain suit and a spiffy new bungee net. COOL! smile.gif
I put on the luggage rack, tail bag, tank bag and loaded everything down to set the sag. It made quite a difference with about 25 lbs added to the bike.
Rode it to work today to see how it handles with all the stuff strapped to it.
Absolutely smooth and stable, very comfy. I was really surprised how nice it was.
I guess there is something to be said about bigger and heavier bikes.
Anyway, I'm ready to go. Lets go! Can we go now? How 'bout now? tongue.gif

I wish I was going with you guys. I have plans this weekend and the 1st week in May me and a couple buds are going riding to Big Bend (4 day trip). Kinda booked. Maybe next year.

How's your bike running since you did your valves?

We need to do another DFW get together. Meet for ride in AM then return to my house for pool and cook out!!

You and ronimal (sp?) have a safe and fun trip!!

Excellent! That set-up sounds very familiar. Just be careful getting on and off the bike until you're used to it back there. Did you stuff the rain suit under the rack? I have a HD one... I know, but it's left over from my pre-enlightened days. Anyway, it fits nicely in it's own bag beneath the rack. Nice and accessible. Enjoy the journey to Barber.

Thanks guys!
Ki, how you been? Haven't heard from you lately.
Set the Date for the next DFW get together and we'll make it happen.

Wolverine954, It should sound very familiar. Thanks again, we'll get some shots of the racks in action.

Dude, I'm glad I got the rain suit, hope I never have to wear it.
