Was out last night ... headed out of Burlington up Cedar Springs, then #1 Side Road to Walker Line. Rode down Britannia and over Rattlesnake Point, after going through Milton found two nice roads, Lower Base Line and 5th Line. Only problem is at every curve, anywhere near a slope, they are still covered in gravel! Meet a couple other riders finding the same problem. Not VFRs though....
We need a little more rain (sorry to say) to clean up some of those back roads! Any own a street cleaner I can borrow! :P
There's some nice roads up in there, but I'm not surprised that they haven't yet had enough rain/traffic to get rid of the damn road sand/gravel!
Last summer I had a nice jaunt through those rodes spoiled by a foursome of provincial police riders out on some sort of training ride. Every time I'd poke out of a sideroad, they'd somehow managed to cross my path. :(
I did - last Sunday my butt got a real break-in for the start of the season. The trip from Dundas where I live is 3 hours. My dad was kind enough to come down and transport me home - saved me piling the wife and kid into the car for 3 hours, etc.
The downside was that he rolled up on his HD. Yep, that's right, I had to ride on the back of the hog for three hours. My teeth are still vibrating. :P
Got stopped near Owen Sound by an OPP - not for speeding, but the LEO took exception to the Screamin' Eagle pipes my dad runs! :P
Finally got home, rested my arse for about 15 mins while I plunked the battery in, did a few checks, etc and then hopped on the Viffer for the ride home. What a nice, smooth change compared to the HD.
A very nice feeling to have the Viffer back in my shed, where I can lavish it with the love and attention it deserves!! :goofy:
Maybe some one in the cambridge area can show me some local roads sometime soon. I've heard there are alot of nice back roads there. Might be time to do some explorin :goofy:

Dude...I'm in Cambridge. I'm not on my VFR yet, but should be in a week or two. I've lived here all my life and know the local roads quite well.
While there you go we are all set for a tour starting in Dundas and heading out to Cambridge. Now we need to pick a day and time that everyone is available?!?!
