Givi Wingrack

Hello all I was wondering if you could help me.
At the start of the year I bought a VFR 800 1999 version, my wife and I are going to tour around europe in August. So I bought a Givi Wingrack2 and a set of MonoKey boxes. At the weekend we tested the bike out and found that since I had to take the handles off to fit the rack my wife now has no-where to hold onto.
She can put her hands between the rack and the body work if she wears a thin pair of gloves, but with her bike gloves on she can not get her hands through.
So I was wondering has anybody else had this issue if so how did you get past it please. wheel.gif

Which bags are you using? The E360s have handles on the top that can work as grab handles.

Yes they are E360's but my wife doesn't feel secure when holding those, as the handles are to the side so when braking she still slides forward.

How about that bike belt thing for you so she can hold onto you instead, for that close feeling you want?

Do you have the topcase mount as well? Could it function as a grab handle? Nice to have, even if you don't use it all the time.

My wife and I don't like the idea of the love handles as I will have to wear it a bit tight and as we off to the south of France and around Switerland in the heat of the summer I think that will be off putting wearing something like that. Also The wife thinks that it will not stop her from coming forward and hitting my helmet when going up and down the mountain passes, also as I brake.

Now I have come up with an idea I don't know if anybody has tried this but I am going to have a look at seeing if I can fit the Handles that I took off and fit them upside down on the underneath of the Wingrack.

Givi said that as I have a Top box (the old e45 style) with a bark rest on, this gives handle grips, dont know about any of you but have you tried to grab those grips?? I think in Italy they must have funny shaped arms to grab those.
