I have the Givi 41's on the sides and the 360 as a topcase ... using the SWMotech racks. However, the topcase SWMotech rack does NOT work with my passenger!! The seat is too low and the rails are causing fits when my passenger's hips ride on them for more than 70 miles or so ... and she's only 115lbs!!
I'm thinking of going with the Givi Wingrack ... the one that holds all 3 bags (or just the side or just the top) which is the Y166+N141.
Does anyone else use the 2002-2003 VFR800 Wingrack and Mounting Kit for 3 Case Setup?? Any impressions are appreciated.
The idea of spending another $250 for the rack doesn't interest me ... but given I've already spent a small fortune for the cases and existing racks ... I'd hate not to get a compatible setup so that all items can be used and be comfortable doing it. :thumbsup:
Edited to add: How quick / easy is it to remove this type of rack?

That thougth crossed my mind. However, I'm not willing to give up my seat for the amount of time it would take to ship to Corbin, add padding, and ship back. And, I'm not willing to allow anyone locally to do it since the foam is of a special kind.
So, the amount of time does matter ... that's why I'm considering a different rack.
I have a wing rack on my 98. It works great. I just rode ~900 miles with a passenger and she never complained once about the rack. She really likes the security of having the trunk back there to lean on and the side bags make the bike feel wider where she sits. I'm not sure how it fits the 6th gens, but if it fits them as well as the 5th gens, then I'd give it two thumbs up. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Thanks cberkley!! A couple of questions for you if you don't mind ...
1. What is involved, assuming it is similar on the 6th gen, in removal/attachment of the racks? Tools required? If so, what tools? 2. How long does it take to remove or to add?
My current SWMotech racks only take approx. 3 to 5 minutes tops ... and only require a allen wrench. So, I'm just trying to compare.
I have a 3 bag wingrack on my 95 and my 115lb wife loves it. I opted for the back pad for the top bag for her pleasure. The side bags aren't an issue. In fact the side bag handles are great for hangin' on. I'll post some pics of mine ASAP.

That would be great vfourlife! Same questions for you ... what are your thoughts on time and tools needed to remove / install the racks when you don't want to keep the rack on the bike for rides?
Not a snap if you have the optional brake light in the tail bag (I do). I've got it down to about 20 minutes start to finish. My opinion, it's the only set up you need to consider.

No taillight for me ... so hopefully that will reduce some of that time. Thoughts?
I've got the 3 bag Wingrack on my '98 and it takes about maybe 10 mins. to put it on or take it off. Not a big deal at all. Just need an allen key and a small open ended wrench from your Honda tool kit and you're good to go. It's really solid too. You won't be able to use your grab rails though, as the rack mounts in the grab rail holes.
