I love your country, here's my tribute to your wonderful landscapes. These are some of the 620 picture I took in Canada.
I had a very strict time-table (4 nights in Toronto, 2 nights in Ottawa, 2 nights in Quebec, 2 nights in Montreal, flight Montreal-Calgary, 1 night in Calgary, 2 nights in Banff, 1 night in Jasper, 1 night in Kamloops, 3 nights in Vancouver), but it was enough to understand that Canada is a destination I want to visit again in the future.
I had the chance to eat in these wonderful restaurants; with the exchange rate euro-CAD (1,4 CAD per EUR) they were not so expensive as they are for locals.
Toronto: "Harbour Sixty SteakHouse" (or something that sounds like that): outstanding King Crab Ottawa: "Fishmarket" in byward (or something that sounds like that): excellent Salmon Quebec: "Aux anciennes Canadiennes": restaurant "de charme" Montreal: "Vieux Port": great Lobster Calgary: "Hy's Steak House": I tasted "The Only" steak Kamloops: The KEG: excellent prime rib Vancouver: Lumiere: very expensive even in euros, but a true five-diamonds restaurant Vancouver: Joe Fortes': this is what a fish restaurant is all about

Yes, Canada is a beautiful country. You really packed alot into your visit.
So too is Italy. Rome is magnificent!! The Piazza Nouvono is such a fabulous meeting place. All the sites are fabulous. We visited Napoli, Pompeii, Capri and Rome. A very memorable meal at Hostaria Romana in Rome. Signed the wall as well.

9 month old, on a sailing regatta in the Mediterranean Sea 14 m.o., on a 10-day journey to Cuba 20 m.o., on a 25-day journey in Southwest USA and Mexico 30 m.o., on Pasterze Glacier @2.800mt above sea-level in Austria (by the way, it is an heaven for motocyclists, see http://en.grossglockner.at/highalpineroad/motorcycle/)
... but I did not feel confortable to carry a 40-m.o. kid packed "between" me and my wife on a VFR saddle on a 4.000Km journey in Canada... wheel.gif
Too bad I didn't know you were coming to Ottawa. I might have been able to round up a few local VFRD folks. Nice to put faces to names. Thanks for posting your pics and mentiononing compliments concerning my country. I visited Florence I Milan last year and I would go back to Italy in a heartbeat if I could.

Looks like a great trip and a beautiful Country fing02.gif It wasn't humor, what HS is referring to is that this is a motorcycle site not a travel site and it's is prefered that site space be mostly used for m/c based topics. Also that in general non m/c related pics not be downloaded onto the VFRD gallery as per the rules. "Pictures of pets, cars, or trucks will be deleted if uploaded to the server (hot-linking is OK), please don�t upload trivial pictures, (basically anything other than motorcycling photos), Family pictures are OK" Next time just make sure there's at least a m/c in some of your shots tongue.gif and I think any shot taken from a m/c trip is fair! I'd like to cooperate, but I do not understand the way you moderate "selectively" the topics.
1. I posted the topic into the "Other than VFR discussion", where, in the past, I can assure you that I found the most various topics;
2. A moderator shifted it in "Canada-All of it"; I think it was a good move, even if there were no pics of bikes, since it gave few hints of places to visit in Canada (for bikers and not bikers)
3. Now I found your message, and for me it your intervention is difficult to understand, since - in this very precise moment - the topic most seen in "Other than VFR discussion" is about the "Crocodile Hunter" with 701 views and 28 replies. Please Bailey, huh.gif , don't tell me that Steve Irwine died in a bike accident.
If rules apply, let them be applied in a consistent way. Again, I'm sorry if I did not post bike-pics, you can remove my entire topic. But I think the report of a trip is more relevant to a bike forum than Steve Irwine's death, with all my respect and sympathy to him, to his family, friends & fan.
I hope the post stays...I think of it as a "biker on a trip" post and I can appreciate the pictures. If you close your eyes, you can see a VFR in almost every picture!

I think you are missing the point, I do not believe anyone has a problem with your post other than the fact that you uploaded quite a few NON-MOTORCYCLE related images to the gallery. Images do take up quite a bit of space and I think it is reasonable for HS to require that we limit what is uploaded to the gallery to be pictures at least somewhat related to motorcycles. Why not use one of the many FREE image hosting sites and then link to your images in your post?? Photobucket seems to be a popular one... http://www.photobucket.com/

Do you consider the pointing out of VFRD Rules only after complimenting your post and pics an intervention?? unsure.gif The Steve Irwine post along with many "other than VFRD" post's here do not include a dozen or more pics from a single poster that are totally non-M/C related in direct violation of the picture posting rules. Scenic pictures are mostly allowed because they are from a motorcycle trip. Many single violations are overlooked on a regular basis, but your entire post along with the many(beautiful) pictures are totally un-related to VFRD. Maybe it was the " Thanks for you cooperation." that was an intervention? I'm sorry am I missing something here??? Did your post get Deleted? NO!, Did it get Closed? NO! Did your Pictures get Deleted? NO!!!!!!! Did you get a Reprimand or Warning? NO!!! Your were just politely asked to follow the rules in future post, but you choose to complain about other problems/post instead of addressing or recognizing what You were doing wrong! pissed.gif Do we Mods catch everything or do everything right all the time, hell no! What misleaded me is that - once the moderator shifted the topic in another forum - I thought the "mod team suggestions" were at an end. Your previous reply gave me the sensation of an "enduring and re-iterated moderation effort" that I did not notice in other circumstances.
