Well some of us are still hanging out here but most have already left. I figured since we were taking it easy today I would go ahead and post up the pictures that I have. Everyone seemed to have had a blast. It was nice meeting everyone new. Hope everyone made it home safe so far. Now to the important stuff. Sorry this is so long.
The pics look good, and it was nice to meet you. I wish I could've hung out for today, but I had to be at church by 10, so it was an early start for me. Now, where's the yellow wolf video biggrin.gif
biggrin.gif Thanks Tinyminds for the excellent pix. I've been to the Dragon a few times and am looking for the pix with the "Crossroads of Time" store/campground(I've forgotten the new name). Sorry I missed this adventure. You had great weather I think (great in Atlanta) and hope everybody had a safe, enjoyable time. biggrin.gif
Damn that was fun. Ill probably have some videos up no later then wednesday. Maybe if y'all are lucky one or two by tomorrow! Just an FYI: obvioulsy Ryan and I made it home, and his cords are not showing yet...just barely! Great meeting the peeps that werent there at the T-mac meet, and great seeing those that were agian.
The meet was a blast even tho i did burn through a set of tires and "break in" my bike...it was awesome meeting everyone and all the cool stuff that was done to everyones bike. I enjoyed it for sure and i'll be waiting for everyone at the next one...hopefully with some cosmetic patches and some pilot powers haha!
Looks like you guys had a good weekend. You carved through my area on Saturday, and looks like you descended on Turner's Corner for lunch. I hope the weekend went without incident. Unfortunately, I had a real estate event Saturday that required my presence or I'd have hooked-up with you. I ride the Hwy. 129 ~ Hwy. 180 ~ Hwy. 60 route regularly (less than a 20 minute ride from my garage). From what I can see, the big difference is... I ride draggin' knees.
A friend of mine (that rides while filming track days, and when a small group of fast pilots ride in this area) was out on Hwy. 129 near Blood Mountain Saturday trying out his new still-shot camera. He captured a few of you guys.
I looked for Kevin, but I don't see his black/blue gear.
I met this guy a couple weekends ago over on Fort Mountain in western north Georgia who said he was going on this ride, and I see he made it. [image: IPB Image]
If you want any of these photos, you can click on Linky to get your pic.
I was heading to Deal's early this morning (Sun. Sep. 17), but the rider that wanted to go with had a mishap trying to keep the pace. He low-sided on a tight right, crossed the road, and hit the guard rail on the far side. Screwed up his 'Busa pretty bad. He was able to ride it, and I followed him back to Alpharetta (north Atlanta metro). I wanted to meet you all, but my loss.
Here's me at a much slower pace (damn traffic) on the Dragon a few weekends ago. [image: IPB Image]
Hey check it out... DZone Photos of 129.of us on 129 @ Blood MTN. Unfortunately it is only of some of us. If you set it to 5 wide by 24, we are on the second page.
oopps looks like we were posting at the same time. the guy you met is Ryan. He burned off his rear this weekend. Too bad you couldnt make it up. BTW, i was on the 5th gen with ryan. Sorry we had to run... and no are buddy didnt crash up there, just stopped at the other over look!
I had aewsome time and meet alot of cool people. I am wore out from three days of riding. Made it home with no problems. I will be at the next meet in the spring for sure. wheel.gif
I saw the photographer on blood mtn. but I slowed down. I was thinking it was a cop cause I have never seen a photographer there.
I had a great time, it was terrific to see a lot of the guys from TexasMac again. Weather was great and nobody got hurt (as of sunday). Long ride back to Darlington but Im here. Ill try to post up some of my pics.
Im taking donations for new tires by the way.... goofy.gif Hope to ride with the Charlotte guys in October. Ride safe. fing02.gif

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Those pics make me remember my great April trip to the TexasMac ride. It looks like you guys had fun. wheel.gif I wish I could go but I have an overseas visitor now.
I arrived home safely. Tinyminds, thanks for posting those pics. Maybe I will get more than I did the next time I go. lol. It was great meating you and everyone else. I must say I had a great time. Hopefully I will be able to do it again the next time the meet happens. I'll post some of my pics from my time there and the trip home a little later.
Had originally planned on hooking up with you guys early Saturday, but it did not work out for us to get on the road until later that morning. Luckily we ran into a few of you at Suches. Thanks for letting us join you for the ride back to Robbinsville. Hope to meet more of the VFR-D members at the next meet................John
Had a great time at my first VFRD event! fing02.gif It was great meeting everyone that I met on Saturday's ride. It's always good to put a face to a name/avatar!!! Can't wait 'til there's another one I can attend. Y'all stay safe and I'll see you next time!

I've yet to be able to meet any of you guys, but I recognize Miguel. [image: IPB Image]

If you were looking for Kevin he was directly in front of the girl on the BMW in this first pic. Your buddy Probably didn't take his photo because he was partially screened by a white Ford Dually. White Ford Dually drivers probably don't frequent this site and spend next springs seed money on cool pix of their trucks "RAILIN'" the corners on Blood Mtn.
I see from your "Slow" pic on the Dragon (damn traffic) that you must have been behind the RX8 race team. goofy.gif
We had a great time even at our leisurely pace. Must be the group we were forced to ride with.
I had a blast and it was great getting to finally meet all of you. I was glad the whole thing worked out and we all had a great time. Funny how when I initially started this thing I thought maybe 10 guys would show up... boy, was I wrong, eh?
Couple of things I remember that stand out were,
Watching Mike Quin give Tracey a lesson in not riding alongside someone on 129 in the rain. The ENTIRE Relaxed group attempting to hold off Yellow Wolf and his big yellow bus on the Dragon, On Saturday, waving at HS/BR and company and subsequently missing the turn, ending up in SC, then having VIPERon put his GPS skills to the test, Missing the rockpile turn, then getting caught by tinyminds who had made the wrong turn as well, finally getting it turned around and back on track, again VIPERon's GPS skills put to the test, Really worrying that I couldn't get the Relaxed group to the Cherahola before it got dark on Sat, At the first stop, AtlantaVFR saying "this IS the relaxed group, right?", And, of course, the now famous.. "I railed it" or also "I rode my buddy's RC 51 and Killed it".
Especially wanted to thank all of you who took on the added responsibility for leading and sweeping when asked, that really went a long way in making sure all enjoyed the ride... most appreciated. I'm sure I've forgotten someone here, and I apologize in advance, but these are the fellas I remember...
TW215, Sep 18 2006, 02:59 PM I hope I've not offended anyone. That was not my intent. fing02.gif
I think most who were at the meet know you would really have to twist a lot more knobs to offend me...you should join us next time. We needed more group leaders.
I just want to thank Sondance for getting this started and for all your hard work organizing. I had a great time and think you did a superb job leading us slow pokes, even though you left us in the dust close to Booger Hollow goofy.gif . Look forward to the next time!

Sorry guys. You don't know HOW tempting it was to switch the tags from my VFR to the new RC and ride over there. I could have helped out. I'll chip in on the next one.
The first pick, in this thread, reminds me of, "Deetle Doors",.... LOL. " I see Ron, and Dale, Trace, and Miguel, Kevin and,......Sorry, Thet's all I recognize. LOL. Is that "Pic of what you look like", thread still going? Can we get that sucker pinned? idea3.gif
Pissed that I missed you guys,... and the WDGAH meet, and the trip to see the guys, with the flip-top heads, with Lobster. Damn season needs to be longer, and I need to rob a bank. LOL.
