If the weather holds, I"m heading out at the crack of dawn and going over to Bancroft area to play for the day.

Anyone else interested if the weather holds?

Hate to say it - but good weather days are getting fewer and fewer.....

Dennis - you missed last time, and you'd eat this area up!

MAchine Builder - come on man - lets see that new ride!

Superchode - you get the new rear tire yet?

Danno2 - you feeling like another mega mileage day?

Dude - go to bed early this time, and you'll feel better!!

MCREW - bring another "outfit" and check your suit for wasps!!

GROND1234 - I promise not to snore at lunch!

Ok - enough taunting - you guys (and any others) up for the run?

I am doing that ride this weekend, but due to the family celebrating Thanksgiving on Sunday, I am forced to ride Saturday or Monday. Any chance of changing the ride to one (or both!) of those days?

Hey Mike - I have stuff booked Saturday that I can't get out of and Monday is not gonna work for me. WHo knows what the weather will end up doing, its about as accurate as one of Hurricanes farts in the wind!

I'd love to join you guys. I need to get at least one more good ride in before the snow starts flying. Unfortunately, I am going up to Chapleau Ontario for a week of moose hunting. I was thinking about riding my bike up, but last year at this time there was snow on the ground in that part of the province. Wouldn't want to have to leave my bike up there till spring. Anyway, have a great time up in Bancroft. I'll be there next time.

KKen,

Snoring aside I'm stuck at work this weekend solo so there is no way I can sneak out sad.gif . Hopefully there will still be a couple of nice days left for me after the weekend.

Enjoy and remember that Fs= Speed Squared/ 127xRadius

Hey Ken:
Just what I was thinking... I have no plans for Sunday either... come on weather!
Let me know what time you want to meet and I'll figure out what ridiculous time I need to wake up.
#10
Based on the last meet - for this run, I think the Brooklin TIm Hortons was for around 10 am? From there to the 507 is another hour and 15, and Petersen Lake Road is another 25 from top of 507....

I'd be pushing to leave Gtown around 9 am, putting me in Brooklin Timmys at 10am.

If that works for anyone, post up.

Danno - I'll be in in your town Saturday, too bad i wasn't riding or maybe we could have hit some of your roads.

Lets hope the weather holds. beer.gif

Is that ok for others?

KKen,

so are you saying that you will be at the bottom of the 507 at around 11AM???

Then 507 to Peterson RD then where are you going???

I am considering making the trip for the fun roads up there... it looks a nice 600 mile day smile.gif

Hello Pat,

Ken will have to confirm the route, but I have ridden there a few times and the Elephant Lake Road is amazing!

Hey Pat - I figure if I'm at Brooklin for 10 am, I'd be at the bottom of the 507 for more likely 11:15 - 11:30. THat gas station where we stopped last time, where all the bikes were is where I mean.

SOrry I couldn't do the weekend out your way, things booked up Saturday and Monday. SUnday is the only day to play. Great if you can do it!!

As for where to ride - I was planning to hit Petersen road over to where we had Lunch at Grannie Kitchen, then back down PEtersen again - and depending on timing - maybe another run up and back. THen retrace the route and head for home.

Likely grab lunch at Grannies - or if someone knows of another spot - that would work also.

Danno - maybe you could connect with Scmiata1990 at the PEtro Can on the eastbound 401, just east of Cambridge? Likely 35 minutes from there, to the 407/Mississauga rd spot.

Sounds good to me.
I was planning to leave London around 7:00 ish.
401 Petro/McD's east of Cambridge around 8:15 for an 8:25 departure.
407 and Mississauga @ 9:00.
Brooklin by 10:00
Time for a coffee and then the fun starts biggrin.gif
I'm trying to round up 2 non VFR riders for the tour too.
Any one else from London or the St. Thomas area... gmtech94?

Hello Danno,

I will meet you at the Petro/McD at 8:15 on Sunday morning.

We could consider heading west after Bancroft. I can take us on some
great roads south of the Collingwood if there is time. Just a thought.

This is going to be good!!

Danny - you thinking of hitting Beaver Valley? Road 13 is it?

I've done that a couple times, nice!

See you guys at 9 at 407/Miss road (just east of the overpass)

I'll check back on this thread Saturday night - if the weather looks bad, etc...

LOL
the beer is still coming out of my nose!
The funny part is I have gotten lost on a couple of occasions trying to find Beaver Valley from the east. I would love to do some extra clicks if the day is going well.
8:15 it is, I'm on a silver 6th gen with a top case.

Ken you going to wait under the overpass on the 407?
Tomorrow I'll be out of communication for most of the day.
I'll probably check one last post on Sunday morning to make sure everything is still on.

#22
ANyone thought of staying overnight Sunday in Bancroft and Riding back MOnday? I might be able to pull that off with some manuevering....... hmmmmmm.

Pgreen94 - Monday is the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday - fyi.

DAnno - I'll be under the overpass - or just east of it - depending on whether the sun is shining to heat me up!!

Likely not have the top box on - but you'll see the red helmet and hear the billyjoejimbob redneck pipes a mile away!!

Danno,

I'm also on a silver 6th Gen. See you at 8:15.

Ken,

There are many great routes around the Beaver Valley. wink.gif
We can zigzag our way down the escarpment all the way from Collingwood if
time allows. I figured it would be better than slabbing it back. It will add little
more than an hour or two and the roads are so much more interesting than 407 etc.

I don't think I'll be staying overnight. My wife's family dinner
is early on Monday.

PS If youget the chance check out the cover of the Saturday's Globe and Mail's Home section.
There is a great article on my grandfather.

DAnny - looking at the online version - what is the name of your grandfather - I can't seem to find a HOme section.

Sorry Ken,

I was looking on line also. I don't have a hard copy yet.

I think "Home" means "Home Edition". I think it is on the front
cover of the paper itself.

His name is Clarence Brazier. The article is entitled,
"100 years old and a man of letters". It is the first article
that pops up when you are online.

PS It mentions that he bought a new ATV at 95. He updated
it with a more powerful version when he turned 99. LOL

Thanks for looking.
