well, thanks to ebay i now have cases (e360's) and the rack that came with my girlfriend's bike...and the cases fit the rack perfectly.

BUT i'm a little unsure how to install the rack onto the bike! and i can't seem to find any installation instructions on the internets....

it looks like it attaches at two points - where the grab rails attach, and somehow onto the passenger footpeg. weird thing is, i don't see how to detach my original footpeg to slip it in there (weird bolt/rivet thing?)

anyway, if someone has a link to instructions, i'd appreciate it.

thanks!

Here's how mine worked-

1. Remove passenger grab handles. I think it's 2 bolts per sode, but my VFR never had them. The rack mounts where those bolts were. You should have a spacer...only one side, as I recall.

2. The "arms" go down to the passenger pegs. They bolt under the peg bracket, on the same bolt that runs through the peg.

Keep in mind that I bought my rack used, so it may have had non-standard parts. I got two bolts to replace the passenger peg bolts...they were longer. Don't know if you need longer ones, or maybe they come with the rack.

Check the Givi site for instructions. There'a a place called "Throttlehead" in Florida (google) that was able to help me regarding some parts.

Good Luck!

I have the WingRack II on my 99. Unless I am wrong (possible, installation was 5 years ago) the passenger pegs use a hitch pin like the front pegs in the oem configuration and this is replaced by the Givi hex head double bolt. It has a large thread that accepts a large nut to secure the peg, then below that is a smaller diameter thread that the lower end of the givi mount slips onto, secured by a smaller nut. I may be wrong about the Honda OEM setup but certain about the Givi hardware. I can take a picture tonight if that will help.

a picture might be a lot of help! yeah, i see what you mean about a linch pin..though i'm a little unclear as to how to remove it? i'll play with it a little more tonight, but i just don't see how to remove the peg, and it seems certain that i have to replace the OEM bolt (lynch thing) with the givi one...

Two views of the Givi attachment:

(That is an extra nut I am using as a jamnut since I lost the lock washer.)

And here is a pic of what I believe is the oem pin that held the passenger pegs on:

Let me know if that's what is on yours. You simply remove the cotter pin and slip it out.
Yes, I know my bike is dirty and rusty. Hey I commute and its been raining all week!

Any chance there are pictures of the whole set up without the bags? I have no idea how it goes together and I am about to buy one. I already have the top box mount installed (I know there are 4 different wing ricks available....)

I'd be happy to take the bags off and takes some shots. Mine is the Wingrack II.

Did you get the pictures you wanted? I sent a link via a PM but have not heard back from you. I can't see any of my PMs although it say I have 7 in my sent folder.
