Hard bags and mounts

Anybody got pictures (or know where I can find them) of a VTEC with the hard bag mounts fitted?  Also, one with the hard bags fitted?

Trying to convince the wife that the mounts won't ruin the looks of the bike when the bags aren't on...

I have a few photos of my bike with the bag mounts but not with the bags on actually. I do however have a photo of my bike with bag mounts with the fender bobbed off. If you e-mail me at seadooloo@aol.com I will try to send you the photo's, I will also try to get you some photos with the bags on. If you do order the bags though I might rcommend that you get them from david silver spares in great brittian, the bags do not have the ugly reflectors and they also have a vfr emblem on them. Mine were $836 delivered within a few days.

Thanks, guys: exactly what I was looking for.

The wife had a look at the mounting brackets, and it was 'not on my bike', 'makes the bike look fat'.  No amount of convincing that I could remove the brackets.

If I eventually sell one or more of my Miata, Concours and F650, maybe I will get my own VFR and go the bag route.

Mate, your wife is on drugs.  They don't ruin the look of the bike at all.  In fact, you can barely tell that they're there!

I could not live without my VFR panniers now; they are a gift from god.  I much prefer the look of my bike with the panniers on and the Ventura rack removed than vice versa, so if I have a long ride to do where I stay overnight, I'll put the panniers on and happily go sports riding. smile.gif

I have to mirror Kaldek's comments:  Once you own a bike with hard bags, you'll never go back.  Great bike.

Same here.... they might be a tad pricey, but the finish and the way the suit the bike makes them a great item to have. Not to mention very waterproof... haven't had a drop of water leak through them yet !

The Factory Honda Hard Bags are awesome in MHO. I was a bit worried about the hardware and the addition of Princess Leia hairpieces � tongue.gif �to the side of the bike but the bags integrate well with the lines of the bike and the utility coefficient of the bike is now off the scale! �:laugh: I mean, just tonight, I rode down to the store bought some vino for din din, put 'er in the hard bag - and cruised home. When I got home, I unhooked the left bag and carried it into the house! (The wife looked at me a bit strange). No fuss, no muss! I give em a thumbs up!

Oh one more thing.  VFR's with the integrated hard bags pull more chicks!  

OK, so maybe not but it sure does get a lot more "oooh look at that!" responses.  People walk up to me all the time when I have the bags on.

I like the looks of the VFR with hard bags from the front or the sides, but from the rear it looks like a pregnant cow. I wouldn't let it bother you though. Function over fashion I always say. For around town, twisty riding, or going to work, my tank bag is fine. For long trips, saddle bags are great. JM2C. :cool:
