Yes and no. I have Staintunes and am planning for my annual Tour-de-Montana and strapped on my soft bags to see if they would work with the Staintunes. My driveway test/assessment was that they would not work and be prone to, um, how should I say... melting. sad.gif I pondered buidling some type of shield that the bags would ride against that would prevent the heat from the pipes - but I just decided to jump to the chase and buy the factory Hard Bags  . These are the stuff! I highly recommend them, if you're not overly repulsed by the costs (the G note was a bit hard to swallow).
RKA makes a set of soft bags with some frame work to keep the bags off the exhaust. Also, I just seen an add for Tourmaster, they have red soft bags for 129.00, and it is very easy to make a "frame" from some scrap tubeing. THe RKA setup was about 370.00 I think. Im thinking of the Tourmasters, just for the price. I have a RKA tank bag, and the quality is great, but the bags will never get used, so why drop the money.
