Corbin bags on the 02

I have been searching the archives and have come across a few posts concerning the Corbin Beetle Bags. They are a little dated and I was wondering if anyone has purchased these for their 02 VFR lately? I really would like to get a set of OEM bags but for $300 less the Corbins sure look appealing. I'm not a big fan of the dimpled rear end on them, But hey, I don't have to look at it while I'm ridin... tongue.gif Any comments on the fit and finish of the Corbins would be helpful...

Just my opinion, spend the extra 300.00 and get the factory hardbags. I bought mine from david silver spares in Great Brittian for 831.00 U.S. funds and they were at my door in less than 1 week. Bonus is they have no ugly reflector on the side and they say VFR instead of Interceptor.
I have seen the corbin bags in person and IMO they are VERY unappealing. and the way they open up at the top, you can't get your helmet in there sad.gif .
All I can say though is, whatever choice you make I hope that you are happy with it. biggrin.gif

I am leaning toward the OEM bags for the reasons you stated. Did the $831 you spent with David Silver Spares include shipping?

The Corbins look ridiculous, IMO. And the sideways-mounted license plate is just begging to get questionsed by LEOs. Larry

You can actually mount the plate in either direction on the Corbins.

You can get factory bags from Service Honda for $799.

Yes, That was my total price including shipping. That was only for the 2 sidecases and all mounting hardware, did not include the tail rack and top case though, just wanted to make sure you were clear on that.

If I go with the OEM's I definitely want the UK spec bags. Were you part of the group buy from the STN board?
