Ok, my understanding is that the 2005 silver was darker than the 2003. I'm thinking of purchasing 2005 luggage for my 2003. Does anyone have a picture of this setup to show the color difference? It's hard to pass up the close-out prices.

Can't help ya with the Silvers, but instead of 'close, but no Cigar', why not go for contrast, say Black?
Hope you get a great deal.
Well, I was looking closely at the Givi's in black and gloss silver. They would cost more than the closeout OEM stuff.

Did you check here? I only found the topbox. Quite a few members have dealt with them, even with exchange and shipping.
Where are you sourcing yours? (Don't worry, I have an '05 R258)
'03 Silver Topbox OEM
I've already found where to buy them, I was just wondering if a member had a picture of a 2003 with 2005 luggage to show the color difference.
I know someone here has done this... just like some have put the R258 bags on an R157 bike, & vice versa...
I've got the 05 bags for the 03 but haven't put em on yet, not sure when I will either. I got em from Silvers and got a great deal. I'll try and get pics tomorrow of em together.
BTW, thanks for the lead on em Seb

That would be great! If I could see the color difference it would really help me to decide whether to order from Silvers. I'm hoping it looks like a nice, intentional two-tone effect.
...and I have to thank Seb as well!
Any pictures yet?
