Hardbag mounts needed

I picked up some wrecked, but repairable, OEM hardbags for my 2002.  However, they don't have the mounting brackets (probably got mangled in the wreck).  Does anyone know where I could buy the brackets?  Does Honda sell the brackets separately?

Looks like I have a winter project to keep me from going nuts. If I can't ride it, at least I can wrench on it! biggrin.gif

They probably do, but there are quite a few bits and pieces involved.  I'll be happy to fax or mail a copy of the instructions/parts list that came with my OEM bags.  That will make the process of ordering individual parts much easier.

That really sucks! mad.gif

I'd call the Honda Customer Support number to see if they can help:  (310) 532-9811

Hey Curt, can you send me the instructions?  I found some mounting hardware from another lister (tim02) that had some bags wrecked beyond repair.  He is not sure that everything is there.  The instructions would be helpful in identifying what is missing.  PM me and I will get you my fax or email.  Thanks!! beer.gif

Lastchance, We may be able to salvage a hinge pin from these wrecked bags and get you back in business.  I should get the bags from Tim this week, I will take a look.

The repairs on my bags went well.  I put the paint on them over the weekend and converted them from the slow silver color to the much quicker red.   I took a bunch of pictures along the way, so I will try to post a write-up in the near future.

Steve, instructions have been faxed to the number in your pm. If unclear, let me know, and I'll mail a copy.

Good luck in getting the parts.
