my first video with the GoPro HD

I bought one of the new GoPro HD's a few months ago when they first came out (didn't do any research, just ass-u-me-d) and found out the hard way that the video's are made in an MP4 format that can't work with Windows Movie Maker. To add insult to injury, my old laptop couldn't even play the HD files smoothly, so I was "forced" in to upgrading my computer. (I am now the proud owner of an iMac!) Anyhow, this is my first effort using iMovie with the new computer and GoPro. iMovie took me a few minutes to acclimate myself to, but overall I'd say it's on par with moviemaker as far as capabilities and features. Anyhow, enough of the background info, here's the movie...

Awesome, and a great choice in music too.

Video looks clear and smooth, pretty good quality.

Long ago I made a bracket that fit neatly on the side of my old Duc 900ss where I mounted a digital 8 video recorder. I had some fun with that, but I would really like to get something like what you've got one of these days; I know I'd have a lot of fun with it.

Great job with the new set-up, guess i'm gunna haveta start reading instructions huh, gotta try and keep up with ya. Is that mount the one mounted to the bottom of the windshield?, good veiw of the road and terrain and not to shakey. Hope ya got through those storms ok :fing02: :beer:

Nice camera and good music. I'd suggest getting a helmet mount to steady the frame. Picture quality looks really good. Congrats on the computer upgrade.

Were you really hauling ass or does the new wide format give that emphasis? (or a little of both?)

I'm still adjusting to the differences between the Mac & the PC. Overall, it's getting the job done. I'm sure it's way more computer than I need. Typically I just use my computer for surfing the net, or spreadsheets & word documents. The little video editing I do is by far the most demanding application I do on the computer.

How are the still shots? I may have to get one of these too?

Here's a demo video a friend of mine in Vegas shot showing all of the different video settings on the GoPro HD And here's the link to the GoPro site showing all of the specs on the new HD version. I need an upgrade in capability as well as reliability as too much dirt on my regular snap cameras causes this..............
