Okay, I've tried searching here with no luck really. I'm trying to find somplace (U.S. preferably) that has the best price on the Honda hard bags in Metallic Silver. I've searched URLNOTALLOWED and couldn't find anything either. I'd also like to get the Honda tank protector. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Links would be great. I picked up my new '03 VFR this past weekend and plan on going on some trips once the break-in is complete. Thanks in advance for any info!
Welcome, Ron - you have the better of the '02 options, IMHO.
AZMotorsports has hard bags for $830 and they offer a discount to those who are members of this discussion group. biggrin.gif
I have not seen a better price for new - has anyone else? Every once in awhile you can find them on that auction place to which we are not supposed to link but not often.
silverjet, Mar. 23 2004Service Honda (servicehonda.com) has them for 797.28.
Service Honda is a good source of parts.
With the 10% AZMotorsports VFRDiscussion.com discount (which I am not absolutely certain would apply but have no reason to think it would not apply) the bags would be $747.
Jim - How do you specify on the web site that you're a VFR Dicussion member to get the 10% discount, or do you need to call them directly? Thanks again...
Sub $800 is very good. Whatever the price, those bags are worth it. Either side will swallow the largest full-coverage helmet with room to spare and they're just as good if not better than the bags on my previous mount, a BMW R1100RS. I never take them off.
It may be different now that the Dollar has lost ground against the British Pound but when I purchased mine 15 months ago David Silver Spares prices beat everyone. If you wanted to wait for them to order them instead of shipping from stock they gave you an additional 10% off.
I got all 3 bags, brackets, VFR Heated grips, Bag liners and some other things for $1300 including shipping and duty.

In the order form, near the end of the process, AZM has a comment window. I have always mentioned that I belong to this group and the world VFR list. That seems to be enough. I think they're a good company, though you might hear differring opinions. YMMV
I am still waiting for my rear BT-014 tire, which I ordered from them a couple of weeks ago - backordered. I should get the front tire tomorrow.
