I shopping around today for my buddy's birthday and was checking out Corbin seats for his Busa when I ran across this
little gem called the Smuggler. It actually replaces the rear cowl on his busa with something a little more functional, yet doesn't take away from the distinct 'busa' look.
Wondering if anyone has seen anything like this for a 6th gen VFR? I would absolutely love to have a little storage on the bike (hat, phone, etc...) when I'm out solo. I know I could go with a tank bag, but I like the looks of this way better...

I use a top box. It's been a blessing ever since I installed it.

oh...bummer...that is exactly what I was looking for (except for the $800 price tag)...
Corbin made these Smuggler Trunks for the 5th Gen at one time, but no longer, but they still pop up for sale used occasionally (and usually at a ridiculous price). I've never seen one for a 6th Gen.

Top Boxes are not great looking, but they are SUPREMELY functional. I love mine for weekend rides, but not for everyday use.
As someone who just upgraded(?) from a 5th gen to a 6th, I must say that the lack of underseat storage is a tremendous P.I.T.A.
beigs, take a look at these (

Yeah, it's "tail bag" but looks pretty good and comes in at a more acceptable price. And can be had in colors (or black or carbon fiber).

:+1: for the Axio Tail bag. I've seen it in person and it is on my wish list. I can't stand the way trunks look on a sportier bike.

I'd been lusting after one of those Axio tailbags for a while but always wrestled with the fact that it wasn't knife secure, wasn't waterproof, and couldn't hold a helmet. I broke down and added a topcase over the pillion and now appreciate that I don't look as much like a squid. There is an interesting side effect that I have noticed which is I now get waves from some of the touring dudes and now some of the sportbike dudes don't wave anymore. Go figure. I still might get an Axio tailbag for day use just because they look so sweet.
