How to mount Givi cases with fender eliminator?

I'm planning a trip this fall to ride down the coast from the Can/US border to Cali then over to TX so I was thinking of picking up a set of Givi35 cases. My problem is all the side racks I've seen for mounting show the racks mounting to the factory fender at the license plate. I have a fender eliminator installed....is there a way to install the side racks so they are still rigid? I've done a search on VFRd and only seen people modding the original fender for a cleaner look ..

I'm surprised nobody else has chimed in...

The license plate mount seems to be designed to keep the bags from vibrating side to side. The OEM license plate mount/fender is plastic, so I'm not betting on lots of structural support there.

I'd try mounting the bags and making up a tie strip between the two bag mounts where the license plate usually lives.

YMMV,etc....

when I bought my racks, it came with a adjustable brace for the fender area. works great. if you look carefully you can see it under the tag

I'm in the middle of a 7k ride with the exact set up your talking about. The plate bracket really just keeps the bags from moving side to side. They have been flawless so far. I can't do pics right now but I have posted pics of this setup so do some searching and you will find them
