I am thinking hard about signing up for this. I just sent them a PM to see if they still had room. low 70/mid 60's and low in 40's....ought to be pretty nice.

GT is out due to some broken bones from a get off. I'll be riding "i". Gamecock and his brother i believe are going to be there as well. Should be there Friday night. I'll have my vfr and a friend with an R6.

i'll be on a gixxer w/ neon plates and U20 will be on a red F4i. we wont leave nashville until late, so it'll probably be morning until we get there. if you can save us a spot next to you that would be great.
Should we just get one of those "rv" spots and pitch my 10x20 and a couple of 10x10s on it. That is what we did last time and had 5 bikes with plenty of room to spare. I'm just curious to see if we have enough power slots to cover for everyone (if we all have warmers).

sound great. I will be bringing a 10x10 and a 5000W generator just in case as i will be running warmers. it is large enough for probably 3 sets if needed, but we would need at least one industrial splitter as it only has 2 plugs on it.
I'll be leaving atlanta around 7:30 Friday. Should be at the track around 9 (track time). Got a lot of crap to do between now and then. Should be a fast week!
Looks like I will be joining the parade on 10/16 at Tally! I just got signed up and am rarin' to go! Jim Whitehead had me and Michael Fetter + 2 other fine chaps on his 4-hour EX250 Endurance team at Tally about a month back so I should know my way around OK. The all-conquering SV650 is in good shape and has been been recently modded with a cut-down windshield that will likely lower our combined Cd from a brickish .85 (or thereabouts) to a svelte .84(or thereabouts)! This alone should allow me to scorch past the cornfield at an eyeball-flattening 115 mph. I hope you are ready for the subsequent fairing-melting shockwave. Be forewarned...
I sent a few of the usual scuffed leather types a note on this track day (Michael Fetter, K.Perham, Lee Trexler, etc.) but haven't got a squeak back yet so it may be just you, me, and the VFR cult members. I am going to try and get there around dawn Saturday. See you there.

Joker's moved up in the world... he is racing WERA now...lol I know he was supposed to be at road a this weekend. Maybe he will come out and grace us with his presence!!!
My plan is to get there around 9pm Friday night, drop off the EZup, bike & stuff. There's a chance that we don't make it in by the 10pm cutoff so we will see you guys in the am. We are staying at the Comfort Inn in Oxford and will be leaving Saturday afternoon. If I get there before you Kevin I'll try and snag a spot along RV row on the pavement. They have 110 outlets now and I think they are 10$ a day. Where does one get one of those junction boxes? At the 250 endurance race we were pitted by the new tower and one of those were required for power there. Anyone bringing a chest protector? I need one but would like to try one on first and I cant find any in town here to try.

I have several spine/back protectors your welcome to use and I was just sticking a standard jacket sized back protector just zipped into the front of my suit as a chest protector! :blush:
Let me know if you want to use them this weekend.
I have a Astars back/ chest protector you can try as well. I don't know about the jbox. There was "regular" power there back in march. $10. Any one staying at the track other then me AJ and I?

You know what I'm talking about, the standard size back protector that fits in the pouch pocket in the back of most sport bike jackets. I just slide in in the front and it hold pretty damn good just under the snug leathers, I had planned to attach some type of Velcro fasteners to it to hold it in place one day.
Oh yea that has to be better than nothing, I'm gonna give that a go this weekend. I think the Knox may be the one to get barring the jacket type, but proof is in the fit. I have the Bohn Pro racer back protector which offers great protection for the back but their chest protector is rather small and doesn't offer any rib protection like the Knox. There's another one out there that Colin Edwards swears by that are custom made by Impact Armour, that I'm also considering.

I understand that Wera is putting chest protectors in the rulebook as a suggestion in 2011, and a requirement in 2012. Something for you track guys to consider, it could save your life.
