All the bags in the world and nowhere to go

Well, finally did it today, took the plunge and bought the Cortech saddle bags with the third attachable tail bag. I have read various reports and reviews and it seems like this is a perfect setup for my 2003.

I also ordered a Joe Rocket Magnetic Sport tank bag -- couldn't pass it up, was surfing ebay and came across a great deal, hopefully it will be as good and durable as the Tourmaster Cortech counterparts I ordered.

Now with all these new accessories I ordered (and in the midst of checking out MP3 players) I have all this and no where to go!!!   ???

Actually thats not true, I do plan on plenty of short runs to Chicago (I am two hours south) and maybe 2 longer ones, one up through Canada (I am Canadian, would love to show the family and friends the new ride  :wheel:    ) And another down to Memphis (Have a work related week long trip in late august)  

Nothing in particular about this post, just was so excited I had to tell someone!   :doh:

Any comments on the ass end bags or the tank bag, hell even MP3 players, please fill me in!

If you use the rain covers on the saddlebags make sure you get them on good, the straps can be a problem and the cover can catch wind and be blown off, but other than that one incident, the bags are great.  

This was a cross country run on a ZX6 a few years ago and I have since put Givi bags on my bikes since because I wanted something that was lockable to the bike and didn't interfere with passenger comfort.

This is my first post.... wish me luck  :O .  I have the Cortech tank bag set up.  Wonderful design and they (piggy back bags) have been pretty durable.  Hopefully your saddle bags will do the same.  I used to use a soft bag set-up on the rear.  Be careful of loose straps, there's nothing worse than the smell your nice bags cooking on your tail pipe  :doh:

Ah, yes, New Enough.  These people have got to have the best customer service in the whole motorcycling industry.  I'm a hard fit, so I usually order 2 different sizes at once and send the one back that doesn't fit.  They never give me any grief over it, and bend over backwards to help; even when I screw up.  There's no mucking around with my credit card, either.  Highly recommended!

New Enough -- Provided a great first time buyer experience. Hopefully everything will come in one piece..  

Does the rear seat cover have to be off for the bags to be properly fastened?? I would assume they would, and can the straps be placed underneath the seat instead of over top which is what I am seeing on most pictures with this setup.

Did you get the Cortech "Sport" bags? Those are the ones I chose.
The peaple at New Enough are great, I bought all of my gear there. Nothing but good customer service.

I'm in the same position, all the bags and nowhere to go. I was suppose to go to to rallys so far and both time had to cancel do to bad weather.

I got a set of Marsee sport saddlebags that work great with my high-mount Two Bros. pipe. I have the Tourmaster cortech tailbag too, which works perfect. I just got back Wednesday from a 4 day trip through Arizona (Prescott, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Rte 66, etc) Was probably the most fun I've ever had. Also had helibars put on a few weeks ago. Did 1,106 miles and my '98 Vif is now a perfect package for sport-touring duty. What a blast!!!!  I suggest that you guys that have nowhere to go just get on your awesome motorcycles, point them in virtually any direction (hopefully a curvy/twisty road), and just enjoy!!  Stay out for a few days if possible.
