Honda Spray Polish Cleaner where have you been all my life?

AARPVFR donated a few bottles of Honda Spray Polish cleanerto the 2011 TMAC and I was lucky enough to win one, and boy all I can say is this stuff is amazing. Cleans off bugs and polishes your helmet visor in a few swipes of a towel, easy to use on the road and no residue left over from bug guts! Much much better then my old water bottle! The only problem is its listed as Hazardous in some states so you cant buy it - like here in Colorado! Darn it! I cant source it at any of the local dealerships so I have to buy it from out of state, and I have an order in from motosport to get a few bottles but I have not confirmed if they can legally ship it to Colorado? I hope so this stuff is great! I used a can of plexis to polish my helmet visors before but it would not clean off the bug guts but rather harden dry with them still on the visor. Honda Polish dissolves bugs or somthing? I hope they can resolve the issue with the Hazard labe cause I would like to be able to use this product with out the hassles.

I use that stuff, love the coconut smell. But, I get just as good results with Lemon Pledge. Get the real stuff, not the "orange" or store brand.

no oily residue left over? Shoot for all we know they acutally might even make the honda polish?

So I saw them at TMac, but maybe Soichiro can tell us more? I know that the motorcycle race teams used to use the Honda polish at the track. The non Honda teams even used it with gaffer tape over the label! Then the "Honda" polish vanished, replaced with what was claimed to be the original formula but rebranded. I believe they are based in Marietta, GA? And I forget the name, but I bought a can at Road Atl last year.
I noticed the cans at TMac did not have the familiar black label of the old Honda motorcycle polish.
Oh, I just noticed AARPVFR donated them, not Soichiro. Either way...
So what gives? How are the three related, if at all?

There was something about VOCs in Ca that Honda decided to pull thier branded product off the market, and then Honda came back with a different product, hosing the original makers of the the first stuff. So what did the "orignal" guys do? Well stick their own label on it of course. -- I can vouch that it looks, smells, works like the "old" Honda polish. It is the orginal. Excellent stuff.

HS - never used this before? Really? I thought everybody knew about it.

Look for Liquid Performance Spray Cleaner & Polish. It seems to be the exact same stuff as Honda Polish without the higher price.

the part #H/C 3597275 is it the new stuff or old. i have had so many cans and have had both. when i couldn't get any i used lemon pledge on helmet and bike but was reported to add a yellow tinge to the visor. pledge really works good and three times cheaper than HC but i am allegeric to bees and the bees love pledge on a yellow bike. oh yeah, the can says made in torrence, ca. (where i was born) so it must be good stuff! :fing02:

It's fantastic stuff. It'll even remove road tar. Plus it has that delightful smell when you use it. I love to use it on my visor so it smells fresh for hours. :laughing6-hehe:

Used the old formula, loved it. Used the "new" formula, was not impressed. Got the "Original" brand, love it again! Same smell, same cleaning power as the old formula. Have tried lemon pledge as well, works good but I'd rate the Original a notch higher with regard to bug removal.

Only downside to having this stuff, is that EVERYONE wants to use it when you bust it out on rides. :biggrin:

I keep a small can in my tankbag for visor cleaning and a big can on the workbench at home to clean the bike. Love the stuff.

Theres two formulas , the original and the California friendly type, which is only available nowadays for sale.

Its long been touted, but the can I have is over ten years old, so easy to see I dont use it much

I'm a distributor of the Original Honda Polish can I ship you a case no charge of course.

I have been using a product called 'PLEXUS'... a similar type product to the Honda stuff (even tried some Yamaha OEM spray)... The PLEXUS for a bunch of us has worked awesome!
I can only assume it is available in the US... if it is here (in Canada), it will be down there. Try it... works on all plastics (even the oxidized plastics on my dirtbikes).

So I stopped in at the local HD dealer ( I know :goofy: ) and picked up a can of the Original Spray Cleaner to try out. This stuff is simply amazing!

I picked up a bottle of the novus pump spray.

Word of warning: My scorpion visor must have a coating on it as the novus (step 1 polish, not the scratch remover) seems to be removing the coating. :pissed:

When I used Seb's can o' good stuff (orig polish), there were no issues (Thanks Seb!!!)
