Thinking about buying a 2005 or 2008 VFR and curious how fast you can go in 1st gear and 2nd gear?

I plan to mostly daily drive this and I typically am not one to go 100+ etc. But I do like to scoot out from red lights quicker than your typical sports car.

First gear on the 6th-gen is very short - redline is typically about 52mph or so. Well, truth be told it's more like 75km/h and I can't be arsed working out what that is in miles an hour accurately!
Trust me - you'll slam any sports car. The only thing that will beat you is an R35 Skyline GTR (3.5 seconds to 60) or anything of that ilk.

I've had people in their V8s get so pissed at bikes that they show off by tooling along in neutral but in a gear which puts their car right in the sweet spot. I come up alongside and BAM they absolutely nail it just to beat me. Rolling start cheats....

Hmmmm traffic light sprints......great fun.

But also great danger.
Don't wanna be "an old nagging biker"......but there is a reason why some call the turn from red to green: "the seconds of death".
