VFR ride to Sierra@Tahoe

I rode up to Sierra today and was there for openning @ 9. I'd left boots ,skis and poles in a buds truck, and he skis daily. Got to the hill and skied approx 12-15 runs, then rode back home. I left resort shortly after 11am and only did 1 detour on the way home, just had to turn rt. onto Icehouse rd. Great day now doing honey-dos, so I can do it again sat, sun, and Mon.

I'll load them to photobucket trjerm_photos. Then see if I can figure out how to transfer here. If you go to trjerm_photos I've got quite a few pics of my A7RA also(one of the rarest if not the rarest Japanesse roadracers in existence)Skiing was good but better motorcycle riding after 11.

Very colorful bike. So you painted it yourself? Or you bought the painted fairing like that?
Saw some of cafe racer in your album. Is that yours?

Yes that's my 69 A7RA, they built 2 for the 69 daytona 200, and sent the other 1 back to japan to adapt to take the new H1 eng. and it became the prototype 69 H1R, which they raced for the remainder of the 60-71 seasons as the factory Kawa. team. That was aslo the 1st time that the Kawasaki's were painted green. So mine is the only original A7RA in existence(they also built 6 A1RA's (250cc)) and being that they only built 2, I feel that it may be the rarest Japanesse factory roadracer. Yes the "cafe racer" is my A7RA , but it was the Kawasaki factory team bike for the 1969 Daytona 200 expert race, afterwhich it was " sold" to Chief Gulbraith of Goleta, Ca. who ran Power Research Racing(backdoor Kawasaki Team) who painted it the red, white and blue paint  job, directly over the  Green and white factory paint that was painted by Molly of so cal. Its rider was T. Araoka (japanesse nat. champ) @ Daytona, then was raced by Martin Carney (british GP racer) for Power Research thru the 71 season. My family has owned it since 1977 and it languished in our barn till 2007.
