After 15 hours in the saddle I went over 800 miles traveling from dallas to hollbrook az. Still have 550 miles to go until los Angeles. I have made this trip before on two wheels but it is much easier this time thanks to the wonderful vfr. Last time it was on a VTX1300 and I could not travel nearly as far on that bike.
The vfr is so effortless and efficient. At speed I learned that every time I exhale I travel 0.1 of a mile. And have been getting 43mpg.
Will be in southern California most of this week. Maybe I will see some VFRD members while I am there.

:computer-noworky: Where's the +rep button... dammit!
Found my way to the 76 today and headed east to palomar observitory. Went to the top, then back down, then up then down again. 100 miles of twisties. What a perfect day. Stopped at this little store/diner/hangout. The ducati triumph and ktm riders all commented how nice the rwb vfr looks.
Rode on a really nice road today that is litterally off my mothers driveway. Lilac west in valley center. Tons of second gear corners. Need to cruse and just enjoy the scenery since there are many houses and driveways.
Made the trip back in two steps. LA to grants then grants to dallas. Its a good thing i stopped in grants as there was a bad storm around albuquerque that night. The whole ride back to dallas i could tell it rained recently but luckily i stayed dry the whole way home. It was cold and i learned to love the side radiators. I could reach down and stick my fingers in the bodywork to get feeling back in my hands.
I pulled off the 40 in Santa Rosa to have some water and granola bar. Stopped at this old closed up gas station anid thought it was a cool backdrop for the vfr.
