Question of quality

I've just recently heard some naysaying about the quality of today's Krauser bags.
They say that the quality has slipped and it is not the top of the line anymore.

How ever I have heard some people trash the GIVI bags as of late as well.
So I put it to you people, before I buy all this wonderful luggage for my trip this Labor day holiday.

Which company makes the better cases Krauser with their K4's or Givi with the newer style 36L bags?!?

I dunno but everyone's a critic -- it's easy, and being critical suggests they know better than others...though that's usually not the case. I wouldn't listen to naysayers too much.

Well, everyone has an opinion, especially if they have one or the other brand of case. I just wanted to hear some useful info from this group before I hit the Big list and definitely before I order.
I'm traveling to louisville for a major Kempo camp/fundraiser/party and will need more than just a backpack/tankbag to carry my stuff. I already tagged my instructor to carry my sparring gear so I will have that, but I cannot ask him to carry three days worth of clothes and three days worth of karate gi's, shoes, and sundry stuff.

So are krausers the BMW of the case world or are the GIVI's Better made than they seem on the websites???
Inquiring minds need to know

I've never had any complaints with my GIVI set ups for both my Nighthawk and now VFR.  I did have a key break in the lock for some reason, but that was probably an anomoly.  No experience with the factory option GIVI, though.

I'm currently saving up to buy a set of Givi's, mostly due to positive comments on this and various other boards.  Coincidently, I need the bags because there is no good way to transport 3 or 4 gis.  I teach and need to carry gis for myself as well as gis I'm selling to students.  They are heavy, and don't work well in soft bags at all.  They are sized all wrong to split up into soft saddle bags, and don't fit very well into soft tailbags.  I'm planning on getting a givi topcase, which should be large enough to drop a moderate duffle bag into.  If I still need more space, I'll grab some side bags as well.

I'd be interested to hear what you end up going with and how well it works out.

Quite satisfied with the GIVI, I'll buy them again.

Be sure to tighten ALL the nuts when you install them, I almost lost one saddlebag because I presume the assembled parts where all settled properly.

Well I'm planning on going with sidecases and a courier (or tankbag) to carry most of my stuff. I know that I have to arrange some sort of top rack to strap down my laptop and digital camera to.

I'll definitely keep you informed as to how I make out.
