Starting to plan a vacation for later this year. Was thinking about riding my road bike along the Cali coast but want to get there via the motorcycle. The only bicycle rack I can find is 2x2's version. http://2x2cycles.com

Has anyone tired it? Would u trust a setup like that? Have another option for me?

thanks

I  have  had  mc riders ask  me  why  riding  all day  does not  bother   me  and  i  always  tell  them  its  the  bicycling .

I  dont  believe  there's  better  exercise  for  riding  a  mc ..

Haven't done it with my VFR but I have carried my Merlin on my old (1982) GoldWing. Took it out to Colorado and a few other places and it worked pretty good. The only issues are strong side winds and passing semis when the crosswinds are strong. The higher the rear wheel, the more it seemed to affect the motorcycle handling. But I did it and didn't die.

Thanks for the info FJ12Ryder
Never thought about the wind effect. The vfr12 weighs about as much as as old GoldWing except for the rear wheel. Feeling more confident hearing from someone whose done did it

Obviously the bicycle is not very heavy. But it's sort of bulky, in a way.

All you need is a way to attach it good and secure.

It can even go behind your luggage.

Pizza cake.

I've seen this done many ways over the years on a VFR. Check the Googles, pics are out there. Best was a masseuse who carried his massage table on his 5th gen.
