Took the new VFR for its first tour and I have to say its a bit more comfortable than my previous sixth Gen. Rode from Chicago all the way to Eureka Springs. Had a bit of bad weather on the way back home, but overall a great trip. Started out with 400 miles on the odometer and when all was said and done it was at 2650.

How did you like the SW-Motech tank bag? Also, what was your average mpg?

Love the blue & silver... you need to update your garage to include the 7th gen turtle... err, Veefalo... ahhh, 1200 :)
The SW-Motech bag is nice. Although its a bit tough to snap into place if it's near empty. At full capacity because of the weight it snaps on very easily. Space is adequate but not as good as my motocentric 19 bag I had on my 6th gen. As far as MPG I was getting around 32 mpg on the streets with hard riding and around the 41 mark on the highway. There is a MPG gauge that move up and down as you blip the throttle. Gas was alright I guess, but to be honest there was a sportster with us that had to stop at about 120 miles for refueling. So i never really felt like gas was an issue on this trip.
PS: Nice variety of bikes on the ride.... did you get chance to stop at Sugar Boogers and what do they offer there?
Did not stop at Sugar Booger but made it to the Pied Piper

Yes the Peel Ferry was cool. We hit this great BBQ joint on the other side. I believe it was called Dana's. This place was AMAZING!!!!

Dana's is one of our favorite places to eat in Branson area. Never had a bad meal there...and we have had lots! When hordes of locals eat at a tourist town restaurant...ya know it is good choice!
