- Quick Poll: Are you using Chain Lube or Chain Paste? Honda recommends 75W-90 or 140 gear lube every 500 miles. Works well and I have gone over 500 miles. Apply, wipe clean and expect some "fly off". Clean chains is better than over lubed chains.
